Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ideally placed Hotel Great for tourist attractions such as Temple Bar Molly Malone Statue Trinity College Hotel contains a pub which is modern and very clean upon checking in you are given a drinks voucher for every guest checking in so great value Rooms are all secure and there are free to use safes in your rooms for valuables. Overall I would highly recommend here if your staying in Dublin, and if I return would definitely book this hotel.

Right in the centre of the city, so great access to all sights and tours. Room cleaned daily and great service overall. Bar adjoined has daily live music and is traditional in style. All in all, great value for money and would stay there again.

Manager is a rude, money hungry man who doesn't understand the hospitality business. Made us feel very unwelcome. This was reflected in his staff, who all looked miserable throughout our stay, not once did we see anyone crack a smile in the 4 nights we were here. Room was definitely not worth the money we paid! Curtains were broken and couldn't close them properly, the TV didn't work properly, the hairdryer in the room was broken, shower barely worked, blanket on the bed was dirtied with other people's hairs and questionable stains. Mugs were dirty and there was a serious dust issue in various parts of the room. To make this better, the manager accused us of vandalising the room because of a ketchup stain on the wall. He claimed Housekeeping refused to clean our room and it would take 2 days of professional painters to fix the "mess" (we wiped it off in 2 seconds). He wanted €230 to stay in another room (we had prepaid over €600 before our arrival for the 4 nights here). Rooms were advertised at €120 online. The manager needs to have a better understanding of the hospitality business and what good customer service is. We had paid decent money to stay in a mediocre hotel, where the housekeeping was poor. We were also made to pay €50 deposit on arrival, which was refunded on check but yet to see in our bank, were told this could take up to 14 days to return in our account.

Just come back from a 2 night stay. The location is just amazing, for the price you pay I don’t think you can beat this hotel. Yes the rooms need upgrading as they are basic and look tired. Quick check in and check out, beds are comfy, hot shower and room was clean. Let’s face it when in Temple Bar you aren’t going to be spending much time in the room so I would highly recommended. The VAT which is the bar joined to the hotel is just perfect. Bar staff are polite, funny and make you feel so welcome. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

We stayed here for a night last week and it was good. Location from public transit was ideal. Get off at Aston quays and it’s a 4 min walk. Checkin was great. They let us in early and you get a free pint at the Vat house bar, which is attached. One of my favourite bars during our time. The band was so so good. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were plush. No AC in the room but it was cool enough outside we just opened the window. Wifi wasn’t the greatest in the room. Still worked but went in and out. The shower flooded when we used it but we always had hot water and great pressure. Would stay here again. ** for travelers download the app “here maps” for offline GPS. Download the country/city map and you don’t need internet to get anywhere or search for places.

This is a three star hotel that doesn't try to hide that fact. It's fairly clean and the location can't be beat. The staff were friendly for the most part. The TVs in the room don't work and housekeeping is hit or miss. There are some safety concerns from all the homeless people wandering the area, especially at night. We actually had a lady sneak into the hotel and crawl out onto the roof outside our 5th floor room. When I went down and told the staff (phone in the room didn't work either) they at first argued that no one could get out to the roof , even though she was literally right there. They won't set up taxi service for you back to the airport. I wouldn't stay here again.

Excellent location, friendly staff and clean hotel in the heart of The Temple district close to everything. The in house pub is a hidden gem with great entertainment and a fun atmosphere. If you are familiar with the area then you would understand most of these hotels are old and not too different- this is a great option.

Cons: 1- very poor, yet deficient room housekeeping service. Bathrooms are not cleaned and consumables are replaced occasionally. Talking to housekeeping personnel revealed they are directed to a quick and rough service. This Is not and isolated nor unintentional occurrance. 2- Front desk declines to call for taxis. There Is a sign on display at the front desk. Unacceptable for an hotel that lives on tourists. Pros: 1- Great and strategic location for all activities in Dublin. 2- Very good and convenient Pub in the Hotel premises.

The location is amazing, right in the centre and close to the bars at Temple Bar. The Vat bar downstairs is also really nice, music on when we visited and the hotel gave us a voucher for two free drinks. The beds are uncomfortable and the mattresses feel really old. The bathroom was fine but the paint was peeling off the bath and the shower curtain looks ancient. The rooms need an update and a good clean, we noticed one of the walls was thick with dust. Otherwise fine, you pay for the location. The room we had was quiet although there was a fan of some sort running right outside the window so you couldn't leave the window open at night. The window only opened an inch so it didn't let much of a breeze through anyway.

I have just returned home after a four night stay at this hotel and I cannot compliment the whole experience enough. I travelled and was staying with my disabled 88 year old mother. Initially I was a little worried that the hotel would be too noisy for her as its in the heart of Temple Bar, but the manager kindly gave us a room on the fifth floor and we didn't hear a sound and slept perfectly. Actually, the hotel itself is on a side street that we found quite peaceful. The manager and ALL of the staff were so helpful, polite and friendly. We were both absolutely overwhelmed at the service actually. Anything requested was promptly delivered, no hassle. We will definitely be returning and I will be recommending this hotel to friends. The location is perfect for walking to all the sites of Dublin City, A taxi rank just around the corner, useful for my mother or anyone else disabled who may need to jump in a cab to get around. Blooms Hotel is just around the corner from fantastic traditional bars, restaurants, great vintage shopping in Temple bar and a short walk away from main shopping area on Grafton Street. The hotel bar had live music every night and a great menu, competitively priced, really good food. All that's left to say is a big THANK YOU to the manager and staff. You have helped to make a beautiful memory for me and my elderly mother. I'm very grateful to you all x
