Great location next to the Hangman’s bridge and island. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. Couldn’t do enough to help, which was great. Excellent mini welcome muffins. Thank you. The room looked lovely and modern. But when we saw the air-con machine we we’re grateful for this. But the machine pipe had to go out of the window otherwise the pipe pumps hot air around the room. The lead for this would only go in one place by the window and wasn’t strong enough for the room size. As I said we were grateful for this, but another oscillating fan may have been a better option rather than this machine. The beds were a little firm and not enough pillows. We were only here for one night so it was ok. The toilet also occasionally continued to fill up after so many flushes. We had to flush again to stop the water noise. A small rig by the bed on the wooden floor would have been a nice touch as well. Great choice in the minibar too! Warning - there is NO lift. Overall a lovely traditional hotel, but I don’t think we wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel staff were very friendly! Room was spacious and clean. Bed was so comfortable. Stairs were a little much, but hotel is worth it! Distance to sightseeing was so close! Would recommend this hotel!

Basic clean, quiet, modern decor room. Check-in was little trying but staff was very friendly. Location was wonderful, a nice little square in front with a tavern across the way. In back is the River Pegnitz. A quiet restaurant occupies the ground floor. There's no real lobby or lounge area, the entry serves both the restaurant and hotel accessed by stairs, but there is a nice little bar off to the left that overlooks the square, and you can take your drink outside and sit at the many tables there.

The day and night desk clerks were extremely helpful and kind! We rented 4 rooms and all were very clean and decorated so nice and quaint. The Location was perfect!! Close to local pubs and walking distance to historical downtown. Highly recommend this small hotel in place of the large commercial ones available!

Beware of the inside room! The hotel is very good and incredibly friendly , but if you get stuck in a room that faces the inside alley and you leave your window open to sleep, you will wake up and everything you own will smell like grease greek food from the restaurant they share the alley with! Otherwise hotel is perfect!

First of all, this is a hotel with no 24h front desk, so if you arrive later than usual there is no one to help you, it doesn´t have an elevator which makes it terrible if you have heavy lugagge and the worst of all is that they don´t even care to tell you if you have the breakfast included or not, they sent me an email telling me the breakfast hours and they didn´t say that I didn´t have breakfast included in the rate or the cost of breakfast, they didn´t even try reaching out to me before leaving to tell me this and charged me after I was back at my country, making it so much more difficult. Worst experience!! there was only this one guy really nice that helped me out but beyond that everything sucked

Dear Sabine F, thank you very much for your visit and the tripadvisor.com review. We really appreciate it when our guests take the time to give us feedback about their stay at our hotel We are pleased that you noticed our employees great service ethics! Before you make a reservation in a hotel it is recommendable to read all the informations and details about the accommadation. All our guests know that there is no 24h front desk. In case of arrival after 10 pm we store the key in a key-storrage directly at the front door. Our prices are excluding breakfast and our guests have the possibilitiy to decide during their stay whether they would like to have breakfast or not. In case of consuming our great breakfast buffet we charge it on the room. Hotel Hauser is a historical building under monumental protection therefore it is not possible to build an elevator. We are sorry that your luggage was very heavy. Usually our staff loves to help carrying the luggage to the room. We are sorry that we could not meet your expectations and would like to apologize. With kind regards from Nuernberg, Eva Horka Management

We were very impressed with this hotel and its great location overlooking the square in the old town. The reception staff were extremely helpful in directing and guiding us about the area with maps and personal info to improve our stay. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to all and at a reasonable cost.

Dear Helen Q, thank you very much for your excellent tripadvisor.com review. We really appreciate it when our guests take the time to give us feedback about their stay at our hotel. Our goal is to receive only positive reviews. When you honor us with yours we know we are on the best path of success. You stayed in Nuernberg during the Toy Fair. This is the most expensive rate of the year. We are sorry! We hope to welcome you again With kind regards, Eva Horka

With three days with the family, planned at the Christmas Markets we were looking for a property in the old town, close to the markets and the other historical sites but away from the crowds. What a find!.Sitiuated in an characterful square, overlooking the river and its wonderful bridges, full of history associated with the Hauser name.Lots of beer houses , coffe shops and restaurants within walking distance. Jessica was excellent at reception and gave us the first rooms that were available from housekeeping.. Spotless rooms and comfortable beds. We would come back.

We booked a double room for two nights. Arrived around 9:30 AM and left our luggage with the front desk as our room was not ready. The clerk provided some city information and directed us to the Tourist Information center. Returned around 3:30 and found that our luggage had already been brought up to our room on the 2nd floor (no elevator!) so that was a nice surprise. Room was spacious and airy, overlooking Unschlittplatz. Fully equipped with bath, TV, mini-bar and refrigerator, mini-safe and plenty of storage. Bed was firm, with duvet covers as is typical in Europe. Plenty of outlets for charging devices. Bathroom included a walk-in shower with adjustable shower head, towel warmer and four towels. Breakfast was not included in the room rate but we purchased it at 9.95 euros per person per day. Breakfast consisted of a generous assortment of breads, cheese, meat, eggs (scrambled and soft-boiled), cereal, yogurt, juices, coffee and tea. It was all fresh. Checkout was quick and the bill was as expected - no added charges. The desk clerk called for a cab to the airport and offered to carry our bags downstairs. Overall, a great experience. We would choose Hotel Hauser again if staying in Nuremberg.
