Check in was a little slow but member of staff was friendly. Bedroom was plain but clean and tidy. Excellent WIFI. Although overlooking a street it was quiet. Breakfast was a buffet and was well worthwhile. On departure day we left our bags for a few hours with reception staff and that was handled efficiently and without problem as was the call for a taxi.

This hotel is a three star and situated right in the centre of town. It is 5 minute walk to the main square and surrounded by shops, bars and tapas restaurants. The reception staff are helpful and we were able to park our car in a public facility at a reduced rate. We had a quad room that was clean and generally well appointed. Breakfast was ok but items that ran out were not replaced leaving options a little lacking. For the price this is a good hotel in a central location.

Right on the edge of old town and walking distance to everything. The reception told us we would not require public transport as we could walk everywhere and he was right. They told us which area to go to and what attractions to see. Great location and price.

Very conveniently located, walking distance to the major sites. The room and the bathroom were spacious and clean, the bed was big and comfortable. Wifi connection was good. The receptionist was a bit cold when I arrived but I think she was just having a bad day as she eventually warmed up.

---THIS IS MY OPINION of my stay at Hotel Sercotel Oriente, Zaragoza, Spain in early October for 2 nights in room 301, a triple room that did not include breakfast. I reserved the room on Hotels.com for a total of $214, taxes included, about 2 weeks before our stay. We were very pleased with the hotel & staff and would stay again. This is an average 3-star hotel with an excellent location at a great price. ---The hotel is in the middle of town at one end of the Calle de Alfonse shopping area, the other end is the famous Basilca de Nuestra Senora del Pilar church, about a 6 block walk. The front desk staff spoke (or at least understood) English on every shift and the lobby itself is plain. The staff always smiled. Need a cab, ask at the desk and they are happy to call for you!! We left our key at the front desk when leaving since its and actual key and not a passcard. They are always quick to give it back when arriving at the hotel. We arrived by train from Madrid and took a cab to the hotel for about 10 euros, it took 10 minutes. The bus is cheaper but takes 30-40 minutes. Technically you can walk from the train station but it’s a hike. ---Our room, 301, was a triple with 3 single beds in a large room with plenty of space to walk around. We had a desk, flat screen TV, large wardrobe, a room safe (it had a hole where the key goes so I guess it’s an additional charge, we didn’t pay), blackout curtains and nice lighting. The beds were comfortable, slightly firm, and there were extra blankets in the wardrobe. We didn’t face the street and heard no outside noise day or night. We were around the corner from the elevator but didn’t not hear it ding or the doors open/close. The TV has a few English channels. Maid service was excellent so I didn’t hesitate to tip a few euros. No kettle or coffee maker that I remember. It had a refrigerator that NEVER got cold so we did not use it. There are snacks if you want to buy them with a clear price list. The air conditioner had its own controls and it worked flawlessly & super quiet! The pictures on the website are somewhat accurate except the bathroom amenities we didn’t get (see our pics) and there was no computer in the lobby. ---The large bathroom was well lit with a toilet, bidet, shower and tub. The large sink had 1 amenity - 2 small bottles of body milk, we didn’t use it. They had 3 plastic cups wrapped in plastic, not glass glasses. The bathroom was very clean EXCEPT - the down side was the mold/mildew in the bathtub/shower (see attached pictures)! The shower itself was strong with plenty of hot water. I liked that they conserved water/energy by only replacing towels if you left them in the tub; otherwise you re-use them. --- Hotel décor is standard & older and could use a refresh like a paintjob, cleaning the dingy curtains, cleaning the lobby furniture and replacing some missing woodwork. But overall its nice for a 3-star hotel. The two modern elevators were quick to come when called, stairs next to the elevators made it easy to walk down for exercise. Wifi worked well with no complaints. We didn’t see any computers/Printers but we didn’t need them. We didn’t try the hotel breakfast as it was not included. There is also a nightclub or restaurant on the 2nd floor but we never saw it open. --- One tip – I don’t suggest an inside room. My son had room 207 and it was small and needed a new mattress; he & his wife said they could feel the springs all night/both nights. Otherwise it was nice. --- Yes, we recommend this hotel and would stay here again BUT they need to clean their showers better! FYI – the hotel’s website also has excellent info about your stay in Zaragoza.

Quick & efficient checkin. If you have a car easy pull up area to unload bags, receptionist gives directions to park car 2 mins approx away in underground public parking area. Rooms are quite spacious & clean. There are no complimentary anything only 2 plastic cups. Wifi is good here & we did have a room @ front of Hotel but found it extremely quiet in room. The location is very good & once you’ve parked the car it’s very easy to walk everywhere. Didn’t eat in Hotel as many places close by for breakfast, lunch & dinner

We enjoyed staying in this hotel, which is situated in the city centre. Just round the corner, at the bottom of the Calle de Alfonso I is the stupendous Basilica de Nuestra Signora del Pilar (see separate review.) The hotel style is traditional, with deep mahogany-coloured furniture, but with a good-sized bathroom. Breakfast was fine, and the service was friendly but unobtrusive. Although situated on a bustling street, there was not much noise, and we we had good nights' sleep. We would love to return to Zaragoza - just to see the Basilica again - and would definitely stay in the Hotel Oriente. A tip: halfway down the Calle de Alfonso I is the excellent Gran Café Zaragoza.

The Hotel is set in the centre of the city.Clean and confortable, good beds and spaciou rooms.Close to the best points of the city. The staff is very kind and helpful. Unfortunately my room was on the front so there was noise all night long. The hotel is on Calle Coso near plaza de Espana and only five minutes far from the Cathedral. I would stay there again if I go back.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The location is perfect, right in the old town and minutes from the famous tapas streets, el tubo. The hotel room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff on reception and at breakfast were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is a cold buffet with selection of breads, cheese, hams, pastries, fruit etc The rooms were a little drab and could have done with a bit of a spruce up. My only niggle was that there was only one English language Channel which wasn’t relevant or interesting with no news channel. For a 3 star hotel I would definitely recommend, the location and price was perfect.
