The only redeeming factors are the location and convenience of parking structure. The rooms have no phone. No drinking water provided even on first day. Showering has to be done carefully as otherwise you will flood the room. Shame as water pressure is good. The whole building smelled like Indonesian chicken curry which is only nice when eating in an Indonesian restaurant. We looked at 3 rooms. Our original one required shouldering the door to get it open. Also, for some reason the wall mounted TV was literally almost at ceiling height and the view was obscured by a chandelier. The terrible room we took was the best option. Card keys routinely failed causing extra trips down to front desk. We were being charged over $100.00 Euro's per night for room worth $35.00. The good location makes up for nothing. There is not even a glass in the bathroom, just a small paper cup. This strikes me as a hotel that cannot afford to run itself and is ripping off tourists to stay afloat. We left a day early and thankfully the front desk didn't charge us for the full 3 nights we had booked. Thank you for that courtesy.

Hotel is so well located, in front of the basilica. Staff were very helpful, especially Carmen on arrival, when I had a noisy ac issue, she moved me to a quiet larger room. Much appreciated. Eva on breakfast was lovely, as was the breakfast itself. Super comfy bed too.

Perfectly situated in front of basilica. Lovely old building-we were lucky to get room on corner with 180 degree view and through breeze. Noise from square fine, finished by 10 30. Didn't eat, so can't comment. Incredible value for price we paid. Eating/drinking in Zaragoza incredible value

We loved this place. SO central, right in the plaza where the incredible basilica is, close to the tourist info, we walked to a great deli / restaurant called Mondal, and the market. Go to the Palace, so cheap to get in and have a tour and fascinating history, architecture. Great showers. Quirky decorations / pictures in hotel

On arrival the young lady on reception informed us we had did not have a room with a view. I did offer to paid extra for a view as it was the main reason we had chosen this hotel back in Australia. We never did get a room with that magnificent view. What we got was a tidy clean room at the back of the hotel with no really amenities, like a safe or fridge, a broken tv remote which didn’t matter as there were no English speaking channels. An horrible view of the back of the hotel. Breakfast was not great but reasonable. I never saw many people at breakfast. I think this hotel is a lot smaller than I thought an think that’s the reason why there are few perhaps less than 10 available rooms with a view which explained despite not many guests I could not get an upgrade. If you are thinking of using this hotel don’t believe the web site make sure you have view .

Nice clean hotel at the perfect location. We had a bigger room with the big jacuzzi tub and an expansive view of the cathedral. Our companion had a basic room and there is a big contrast clearly. But the rooms are all very clean. A/C works well. Unfortunately ours was right next to the elevator, literally right next to it; so it could get loud early morning and late nights. A few nights it woke me up and kept me up. We also had Wifi issues. We just ended up connecting our devices to our phone for the duration of the stay. All in all we really enjoyed our room and especially the location and view. You also get a parking discount if you go through the hotel for parking. Young woman that works in the afternoon at reception was very friendly and helpful.

Great location, facing the Nuestra Señora del Pilar and right next to an underground carpark (special tarifs for clients). Our room literally looked onto the Basilica and was very confortable and super clean. Lots of choice for breakfast including gluten free and lactose free products. The staff were really helpful and kind.

Right opposite the Basilica, underground parking next door, lots of fab restaurants and pretty much every ‘must see’ sight in easy walking distance. Lovely friendly reception, clean, comfy room, balcony overlooking the square and basilica - what more could you ask for? The hotel is a mix of gorgeous old building and quirky art. Breakfast buffet was good and all staff were friendly and helpful.

This small but charming Boutique hotel has everything you need to have a great stay in Zaragoza- Its clean, comfortable, inexpensive, and centrally located! We stayed in a small but comfortable double bed room with spectacular views of the Church and main square. Loved the quirky artistic decor, front desk staff very polite and pleasant, gave us useful tips and were friendly and accommodating. Tourism office right next door, lots of shopping and great restaurants all around- we only stayed one night but we made the most of our time there. Very walkable and good bus/taxi system if you need it. The Pilar Plaza Hotel was a great choice and I highly recommend - as well as the City itself- Zaragoza is a wonderful place to visit!!

The location is great, pedestrian, overlooking the cathedral, walking to tourist sites of interest and restaurants. You will love being across from the cathedral and people watching and the pilgrims coming and going. You have the basic needs met, no question about it, at a very good price. Limited amenities such as coffeemaker, toiletries and space are not provided. Light sleepers will be bothered with guests rolling their suitcases early morning thru hallway. Breakfast in basement is not appealing but you have many options available just outside the door of the hotel. Except for a front desk male receptionist that smile and acknowledged guests, we did not see others raising their head from paperwork or computer when guests left or came back passing right in front of them in such small area. I am not a stranger to the culture and do not expect bubbly, just that it does not give a good impression to the customer in the hotel business. I have to say that I want to love it and go back but will compare with other options next time.
