Value
Canavall has 7 rooms and 4 apartments located in two old buildings renovated in 2017. All the traditional Mallorcan elements have been preserved to keep the original character, all rooms have been also modernized in order to provide all of the necessary comforts for our guests. The lobby and the breakfast area are located in what was the old bakery "Antiguo horno de las capuchinas", a large space with an antique wooden ceiling as well as several medieval arches. The rooms, all different and unique, are decorated with typical elements of the island (tiles of Huguet, textiles of Bujosa, clay floors, original carpentry). Most of the art exhibited has also been performed by local artists.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in Room 8 on the second floor. The suite was chic and the area, despite its central location, is very quiet. We had a kettle and a coffee machine which was handy. The bed was super comfortable and we also had a small outside terrace. We arrived outside check-in hours but the instructions to access the room were detailed and very clear. Breakfast was lovely - it was busy on both mornings as 9.00 is when everyone turns up - just be a little patient and you’ll be well-rewarded. We will be back!

Wonderful, boutique hotel in the heart of the old town. We stayed in room 7 which was super spacious with a huge bathroom. Really high quality bed linen and lovely continental breakfast served in the main hotel. We hired bikes from the hotel and rode along the sea front on a bike track which was flat with great views of the sea. One highlight was a super seafood lunch at Can Eduardo near the port, amazing seafood and a fantastic price. The hotel were great with communication on the run up to my holiday, answering all my questions straight away. Thank you to Daniela, Paula and Isabel.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and great service! The location is also brilliant for the cost. We stayed in Room 2 which had separate access and was beautifully decorated and equipped. We were celebrating a birthday so they left us a small bottle of Cava and balloon which made it special. Would 100% return.

I stayed in room number 8 at the top of the hotel. The room was wonderful, with old-world touches along with modern amenities, and a small outdoor terrace. The room was big and was like a small apartment minus the kitchen. The bed was similar to a Tempurpedic bed and was extremely comfortable. It was amazing their attention to detail. The amenities were wonderful and so was the small buffet breakfast in the morning. As a 3* hotel don't expect a pool, parking, bellman, etc. This is an intimate boutique hotel in a wonderful location. I recommend arriving during the day when the office is open. I arrived at night and followed their directions but it can be a little scary since it was hard to see. Also if you have any mobility issues get a room on the ground floor DO NOT attempt the steep steps.

Great hotel tucked away in central Palma. The bedrooms are very comfortable and well maintained, the staff are friendly, and the breakfasts are very tasty. We came here for a few nights as a couple and it was a wonderfully quiet and relaxing break.

We spent 3 nights in the junior suite with patio. The room itself is beautiful, with lovely original features and some tasteful updating to allow for modern comfort. In addition to the room itself, we particularly appreciated: - helpful responses to a couple of questions before we booked - the terrific location, within easy walking distance of all central Palma sites - the generous and delicious breakfasts (continental buffet style) - pleasant and friendly staff

Small, intimate, beautiful and in the middle of old Palma, near everything from fab shops to the best restaurants. My room was modern and perfectly appointed. All the rooms are independent from the reception area with different entrances, which makes it even more ideal to explore the beautiful old historic city. Breakfast is fabulously good.

This place is a must if visiting Palma for a relaxed break. Everywhere was within walking distance. The accommodation itself was first class with the most comfortable bed ever!! Breakfast was simple but perfect in every way. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and to recommend it to all of our friends. Thanks for making us so welcome. Clare and Gordon

Booked two nights at this hotel, location is in the old town and close to all the shops bars & restaurants. We had a room that had a small courtyard so of an evening you can enjoy one of the very reasonably priced wines that are produced by the owners. Our room ( room 6 ) was spotlessly clean with lovely white crisp sheets and fluffy bath towels. Complimentary bottled water, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion which was of good quality and smelled amazing. There is also a hairdryer in the room. Breakfast was continental and plentiful and of very good quality. On the roof terrace there are some sun loungers where you can relax and cool off under the shower that is up there . The staff are friendly and knowledgeable of the local area . The only thing I would say if your mobility is not great it might be worth asking if they have rooms that are accessed without going up quite a steep staircase. I loved this boutique hotel and everything about it . Thank you for a very enjoyable stay .
