Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The location is amazing. You can walk to anything within minutes. The staff was friendly and did a great job. The breakfast was awesome. But was not happy that there is a bar/club nearby that played extremely loud music. It kept us up much of the night. The music finally stopped at 6 am. It isn't the hotels fault, since they have tried to get them to stop, but it created a horrible atmosphere for sleeping and made for a long day.

Hotel's Favourite
The Hotel Pending was an excellent place to stay in Florence. It is facing the Piazza della Repubblica, and our room for 4 people faced all the hustle and bustle of the piazza, which is what we wanted. The hotel is well kept, but is like a boutique hotel that has classical furnishing, painting, and a rich decor. You can always have a tea or juice in the reading room (which most people skip by). The hotel has two elevators, which are your typical tinier ones you find in Europe. The room for 4 people was enormous by any standards, and had high ceilings. The window opened, of course, and the AC was great. It had a huge bathroom, with a shower on one end, and a bath with shower on the other. Breakfast was quite nice, though the room was on the cozy side (fine with me). Tables were set very nicely in a sunny, bright room, with plenty of options (like scrambled eggs, bacon, a variety of toast, croissants, jams, butter, muslix, etc). Staff would bring you a cappuccino if requested, which had a cocoa smile on it. Staff was professional, helpful, and friendly. One of the staff even brought in his needle that I needed for deflating a soccer ball. So really nice experience. Tips: Parking is tricky, and I would avoid driving into Florence in general. We did this because of our plans. But if you do drive, the hotel provides a reasonable option. The parking is providing to the hotel l by a garage, and it'll cost you 28 Euros per night (summer 2022). This is reasonable considering it's valet parking, and you pay the hotel when you check out. You don't need to worry about the ZTL issues, as they take care of registering the vehicle plates so you don't get dinged 150 Euro ticket (!). I would stay at the Hotel Pendini again. You will walk everywhere, and hear and see everything around the hotel area.

The rooms were large and comfortable bed. The breakfast was very varied choice in a nice room. There is a resident lounge and drinks available at great prices. The hotel had lots of historical photographs and was a very interesting place to stay. The staff were all very helpful and cheerful, thanks for a lovely stay.

Tried to open the window cause it was stuffy in our room in March and didn't realize Florence had a mosquito problem. My kids were eaten alive and on top of that their was a piano bar playing in the town square until 1:00 AM every night. Great location, great breakfast but if you value your sleep go somewhere else.

The location of this hotel was amazing. We walked everywhere and enjoyed it so much. Our room was a good size and had everything we needed. We also loved the bed and pillows. There can be some street noise, so be aware of that. We were so exhausted each night, I slept right through it. I would definitely stay here again.

We chose this hotel for its location to the cathedral. Our room overlooked the street, not the square, but we were woken up by music, then noise well into the early hours. Our room was a reasonable size as was the bathroom but everything was showing its age, and not in a good way. The beautiful floor length curtains had holes that let the light through. The bed was comfortable. There were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room and we didn't find the comfortable lounge near the breakfast room until day 2. Breakfasts were good and we were well looked after by the staff.

The location is great. But the cleaning condition is poor because there are dust on the light covers and furniture. It's a shame that you don't seem to have good attitude to respond to customers. The rest is generally satisfactory.

What a cracking hotel. I had a feeling when I found the hotel it was going to be lovely. It’s location can’t be beaten, there is the annoying bar beneath the rooms that front the square who insist on having a pianist/singer until 1am, far too loud for the squares residents but we grabbed some ear plugs and as a family we then were able to get to sleep. This is something out of the hotels control and I would imagine only affects the rooms like our quadruple at the front. Don’t let it put you off, the hotel is immaculate, staff are efficient and friendly and decor is cosy, warm and inviting. Our room was gorgeous. Breakfast is served in a lovely room, if it were possible to expand this into another room as well that would help as was super busy. We wouldn’t hesitate to both recommend and stay there again, it should be a 4 star!

This beautiful hotel is a breath of fresh air for the weary traveller. Situated right in the heart of the city, it offers a view of bygone days, when travellers would embark on the grand tour of Europe. Clean and welcoming, with a delicious breakfast buffet. I would not hesitate to recommend it and would always opt to stay here when visiting Florence
