Our peaceful and comfortable hotel rooms are located in the same building as the spa facilities. The Kavaljeeri building accommodates two better equipped rooms, 1540 and 2018. These rooms are an excellent choice if you want a little luxury. All rooms are equipped with TV, hair dryer, wireless Internet access and bathroom with shower. All our guests are also provided with a soft bathrobe for the duration of their stay. Many twin rooms have the possibility for an extra bed, which enables the whole family to stay the night in the same room. The lobby cafe at the reception is open around the clock, serving for example cold beverages, coffee, tea and snacks. Backby Manor is an oasis of relaxation, where you can rejuvenate yourself and be pampered by our skilled beauty and massage therapists. In our treatments we use the products of Finnish natural cosmetics brand Ekopharma. The Manor Restaurant, located in the beautiful main building, offers our guests a generous breakfast buffet, a home-cooked lunch and a lighter evening meal. On Friday and Saturday evenings you can also enjoy our a la carte meals. A la carte restaurant is open Friday and Saturday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. and at other times upon request.

Has potential due to its history and surroundings, but falls short in too many areas. Very outdated rooms and service not always up to the level one would expect in a place like this. Seems to be struggling with where they want to direct their business focus on and this is visible to the customers.

The location is beautiful and peaceful. Nice assortment of facilities, close to nature, and the bus. The room is clean, but nothing special. Reception is often left alone, making check-in, purchase of cafe items, and asking questions difficult. Food is hit or miss at best. The first night I arrived the restaurant was not serving dinner, but they were able to make an exception and produced a delicious meal. The next night I paid almost as much for a dinner buffet that was almost exclusively a limited salad bar. Very dissapointing for the price and cannot recommend. Furthermore, there are always a lot of flies in and around the kitchen area. In short, go for the place not the food.

I’ve been to Kaisankoti a couple of times. The first time was a spa visit with the girls with pampering and having a swim and a sauna. The second visit was a party with friends. Friendly service and a charming atmosphere. Nice place to visit in the summertime.

Manor is great as well as the nature around it. You can relax here in piece. My room was rather small but actually it was enough. TV was really small and single bed was also a bit tiny. Room was very cold when I went there and adjusting heater didn't help much. Too chilly for my taste but some people like it. Floor was cold so you need some wool socks, slipper or so. I just wonder how it is during the winter time. Now outside temperature was around 10 degree Celsius. Buffet lunch was ok but nothing special. Both days soup was bit salty and main course (I tasted only one) was on the other day too sweet (vegetable cabbage stew). We had for our group set dinner and that was good. Salads were ok but main course was really tasty. They have decent gym and some exercise room as well. Service was polite but little bit home made, not like in the big international hotel chains. Fits to this place. If you like to stay in quiet place, this is your choice. And it takes only about 40 minutes to Helsinki center by car.

A real coincidence that I ended up spending one night at Kaisankoti, and considering the rather remote location in true countryside, the coincidence could even be said to be unlikely. Kaisankoti is the home to one of Finland's presidents' wife a very long time ago, there is a beautiful manor building where breakfast is served, whereas the accomodation is situated in the very nearby modern-ish annex. The accomodation may not quite reach good hotel levels, but the room I had was comfy, albeit very basic. Shower and toilet en-suite. I had a good night's sleep, but ifyou woul end up here, be aware that there is no restaurant, and the drive to the closest one is nearly half an hour, so: eat before getting there. In the morning, however, breakfast is served, included in the price, and a good one it is! If you like jogging or walking, the country roads may not take you home, but they are excellent leg-stretchers. Also, a rather good wellness centre right next to the reception. Saunas, a small pool and a Jacuzzi, and next to the spa you will find a small but fairly well equipped gym! Kaisankoti seems to be popular among elderly, so no partying noises about, and let me assure you: in most cases the average age will indeed drop when you step in! Finally, recommend? Yeah, why not, but realize: this is not your normal chain or boutique hotel, but rather something a bit different. You do need a car, however, and the road means bumps, as well as bends!

It was second time when I was at Kaisankoti. The place is situated at the most beautiful landscape, but still quite near of the highway Kehä 3. The athmosphere is relaxing and so romantic! Spa area is small, but practical and clean. Food is delicious. Love that " Suppilovahverokeitto"! There were no problems with my allergies. Very Good service!

I have been to Kaisankoti many times, since I am not only going to swim there sometimes but also participate in a health courses organised there. It is a place I would recommend for a 2-3 day stay for my friends from abroad, it gives you really nice relaxing experience for a fraction of a cost of Helsinki hotels. Staff is extremly helpfull and nice, food is great and nature around is beatifull. So just visit it without reservations for a overnight stay or just for lunch and relaxation....

A very pleasant country retreat. Lovely steam room, sauna and pool area. Twin rooms were very clean and pleasantly set out. Reception staff all very helpful. No kettle in room but hot drinks available in reception. Downfall on our first night, the restaurant on site closed at 8pm an it was someway to the town which when we arrived at 9pm was all then all shut as well. Large choice of foods at breakfast buffet, gardens and grounds well cared for and provided a pleasant walk out.

This is my first trip to Finland. I did not expect much of this hotel, for it was the only affordable offer I had when I booked. I do not speak Finnish, either, but received advise from Finnish friends. Besides, I have plenty of experience in Japanese hot spring Resorts and will explain why this is relevant. My takeaways are: 1. bring your bathing suit and even beach stuff, 2. bring a pair of slippers or sandals, 3. rent a car, 4. your own shampoo/ soap/ cleanser may help. The equipment of this hotel is slightly above the minimum. My room was clean and functional: a TV with local channels (with many subtitled English-speaking programs), hair dryer, towels and a bathrobe. The WiFi worked well. Only two small problems: 1. As the buildings are only two-story high, there is no elevator, and it requires some effort to carry heavy luggage through. If you travel in couple or family, it would be easier to ask one to open one of the doors from inside, and carry the luggage from outside to avoid stairways. Non-translated Finnish note just asks the guests to close the door after opening it. 2. Most information in the hotel is only written in Finnish. But the staff speaks English, and has been friendly and helpful in my case. Experiences in Japanese hot spring resorts may help, because this hotel has chosen to invest more in sauna facilities than individual bathrooms. Guests may walk in the building in bathrobe and slippers/ sandals, both to and from the sauna facilities. I tried their two sauna rooms, a traditional one and a so-called modern one. One has to pour water on the hot stones in the former, not in the latter. My Finnish friend has suggested a cycle of shower-sauna-shower-swim-shower. It is easier in the modern one, where bathing suit is required because men and women share the same sauna and jacuzzi. The pool is designed rather for therapy than for exercise. The breakfast is refreshing. Gluten- and lactose-free products are available. I like it a lot. I strongly recommend swimming in the nearby Lake Bodom. One finds a good beach by driving for 10 minutes to the Oittaa area on the southern side of the Lake. By the way, Lake Bodom is also known for a yet-to-be-solved murder case in the 1960. One can find a film of the lake's name on line. The Hotel is hardly comparable in its price. Yet the car rental may add a substantial cost. It fits those who want to slow down and enjoy the sauna and only occasionally visit Helsinki.

This manor with spa, hotel, restaurant and conference facilities lies in a lovely rural setting in Espoo. You can stop by jusr for a coffee or to eat or buy a dayticket for the spa. or you book a room and stay a day or two. worth visiting just for the scenic drive, if you like fields, pastures with horses, lake view and rural houses. A typical nostalgic Finnish scenery. The grounds were mostly lovely, but maybe still not super well kept. No specifik play area for kids but room to run about. Some construction work in May. I did not eat there but in week days they should have simpler home cooking, every other sunday a buffet lunch. The pool I heard is small and good for splash and play with kids. However, they do arrange kids' birthday parties.
