The environment is great, with the small lake and the possibility to drop yourself for winter swimming straight from the sauna. Also the freetime amenties with swimming pool, yacuzzi, sauna and gym are great. The hotel building has mostly kept its original design (in good sense) and only renovated what has been needed. The rooms were nice, but two comments I had concerning them. The carpet is not good for allergic people and the lighting in the room could be better. Now the bathroom was the only space with decent lighting. The food was excellent, and the thing I enjoyed most, were the super comfortable swinging Kukkapuro chairs in the conference space! They made the 2 days sitting in the conference just comfortable. Thank you!

Avoid this place. Bed are not real beds they are modular pieces of furnature with 2 inch roll out mattresses very uncomfortable We changed rooms only to find the same problems rooms very dusty and very dated. The breakfast was free only because nobody from planet earth would pay money for it. I’ve been to Finland many times this is not typical of hotels in Finland.

Quiet hotel near Serena Waterpark. Relatively small room with Clean sheets and towels. The buffet breakfast was moderate, coffee, orange juice and many breakfast items.. A hotel in a beautiful landscape.

The restaurant is worst ever. Only handful of customers and still it takes nearly an hour to get your food. Same dishes but different ingredients, some dishes were cold when served, dishes served in different kind of plates.... List can continue forever. DO NOT COME TO KORPILAMPI IF YOU WISH TO EAT DURING YOUR STAY.

The hotel might not look so pretty outside but don't let it scare you. Hotel is very clean and cosy and nice inside. Breakfast was awesome. We could bake our own pancakes - that was nice experience. There is possibility to swim both inside and outside and use sauna of course. We also tried hotel restaurant and got excellent service and lovely dinner. There is a playroom for children also in the hotel.

Very nice and clean hotel! I was travelling with two kids and we enjoyed so much. Food was delicious even though they didn't have any menu for children. Breakfast was so good and versatile. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

My stay in the hotel was actually quite enjoyable. Nothing to complain about actually. Restaurant service was lovely, very talkative and friendly staff, Took a beef burger, nicely done, tasted good and snails in oil. Nice eat. Breakfast was not that special, rather dull, just like in most of the hotels though. Hotel itself looks clean and tidy, but somewhat old and dated, not in bad way but it feels like it was built ages ago. However, in a bizarre way, this moss covered concrete block kind of blends in the environment. It doesn't stand out and for me, that is a bonus. Lavish hotel should not overwhelm the beauty of the nature. Bed was comfortable, shower was clean and worked well. Didn't go for a swim in the swimming pool but the lake water was great. Very warm and clear water. Also good to get in from granite banks. I really had trouble when evaluating with three or four stars, but stayed on four because of the balance of the experience. All and all, nice, would visit again, when in the area. Btw Serena water park is basically next door...

I was tempted to give the hotel four points, but then again the hotel itself is just a good three. It is clean, the service is good and the rooms comfortable. The building itself is very "seventies" - large concrete block. However, this as such rather ugly "concrete block" could not sit in a more beatiful spot in the middle of a forest and next to a small lake with rock shores. The view from everywhere (our room, the spa, restaurant and terrace bar) was simply magnificent. What actually finally made me deside to give three points was the restaurant: our dinner was a disappointment and the breakfast was not that great either : E.g the sausages were awful - one could see that they had been warmed at some point (I hope that that had not been the day before), but now they were cold.

The natural beauty surrounding the hotel provides a great atmosphere for finding a bit of peace, and not far from the airport. It sadly did not meet our party’s needs, though, for an all-around positive stay. Twin beds in the room were just fine, and the cleaning staff had the place sparkling. No kettle, no fridge in the simple room, but a big window encouraging you to get outside. Wifi works great. The pool, sauna and pond for cooling off were great amenities, and the views can’t be beat. Surrounded by forest with a small pond. Wonderful location. But unfortunately the pool and sauna areas were quite full of guests who did not abide the rules: from keeping safe pandemic distances to monitoring children in the water, it was challenging to find a time to get some peace. The jacuzzi is not kept hot, so lower your expectations to match with the moderate temperature. Local sports facilities were run down or overgrown (beach volleyball and tennis courts), adding to a feeling of neglect to some potentially great facilities for business groups, e.g., the smoke sauna and other small wooden buildings for retreats were wearing at the seams. And sadly the pandemic took its toll on restaurant service, mostly closed. The “great big breakfast” was meaty and cheesy, so only cereal, bread and jam for this plant-eater. They did have oat milk, but no source of protein or variety. Staff also did not have food solutions when we called in advance to make arrangements before our arrival, so luckily we packed in food for nutritious options. Great short walks around the pond, a solid distraction from being inside. Staff offered friendly maps, but admittedly hadn’t gone around the trails themselves. Lots of room for improvements, so proceed with caution.

It was an Euro trip last year November, 2020. Went to Finland after Italy and Estonia. Journey through Tallinn to Helsinki was amazing. My friend fixed the hotel just on the day we were on the cruise. Didn't realize it was too far from airport, but had an amazing experience reaching there amidst of forest and lake view. Service was excellent. Ladies at the front office were very helpful. Room was really good. Breakfast was good as well. Would be better if dinner was available. I enjoyed most was the swimming pool and the lake view was simply outstanding. Hope to visit there once in Finland again for Northern lights.
