Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a wonderful conference hotel! It has everything you might need. The conference facilities are roomy and well ventilated. The rooms are spacious and deliciouly styled. Bed was perfectly firm, not a soft moore you sink into as I have done in other hotelbeds. We had all meals at the hotel. You will not be overwhelmed by the offering, but it it tasty local foods well executed. Great breads! The surroundings is loaded with beautiful art installations. They are worth the trip by them selves. Add inn sauna and cooling off in the ocean, I am confident you will have the same great time as we did. Enjoy your stay!

A very nice seaside hotel in the outskirts of Helsinki. The place is also the Swedish/Finnish cultural center with many art installation outside. All rooms have sea view! Rooms are very fine, good beds and fine bathrooms. Silent rooms. Good sauna facilities (friends told so - I did not try it). A very perfect location also for meetings and conferences.

Great hotel that is part of a complex that also includes conference facilities and a local culture center. Spacious and quiet room with good facilities including coffee/tea facilities and fast wifi. Plentiful breakfast buffet that also included a pot of hearty porridge. Very helpful and friendly staff. The location is on a small, central island in the stunning archipelago easily accesible by car and public transportation. The hotel offers bicycles for free. There is also a nearby station for easy bike rental. Both the Helsinki city center and nearby Espoo can be reached by bike within 25 minutes.

The hotel is a great escape from the city, beautiful surroundings and therefore very relaxing. On the downside is the lack of cleanliness in all areas (the room, terrace, sauna area). They didn't provide any towels, slippers, bathrobes and drinks in the sauna area and there is a lack of proper coffee in the entire hotel.

This place is remarkable. I don’t know where to begin with this review so I’ll go experience by experience. Rooms: I had one with my mother and then one with my husband on two different nights. Both rooms were clean, climate controlled, had windows available to open, and were generally comfortable. The bathrooms were good size. Of note, the room we had on the second night had a bathtub which did not have good bars to hold on to when getting out. With older visitors this may be a problem. The shades were mostly total darkening which was important for the endless light of June. The pillows and linens were soft and the bed comfortable generally. There was space to put and open luggage. The room with two twin beds had more space to do that than the room with one larger bed. Outlets were plentiful and there were USB outlets. Parking is free and there are lots of spots. The breakfast was outstanding- best we had in Finland. Staff is helpful and friendly. The saunas are unisex and don’t allow bathing suits. If you’re not familiar with sauna culture ask someone to brief you before using. The pool is a smaller lap pool with a gorgeous view. The grounds are stunning! There are lots of places to sit outside and enjoy the views of water. There’s a place to swim. There are sculptures to explore. Being so close to Helsinki this is a true treat to get away from a concrete jungle. I can’t recommend it more.

Refreshing hotel with that extra cherry on top. Spacious room, good breakfast and a lovely way of welcoming the guest with small gestures. Art surrounded the hotel and made the location perfect for a little energising mini vacation. Great pool and sauna. Easy to reach also by subway. Free parking.

We visited for a couple of day actually quite near to us. The hotel in built as a co-operation between Finland and Sweden and was finished in 1975. It was a representation of high quality and stylish at that time. The hotel is renovated in 2016. The rooms are comfortable. The service is very good by friendly people. It has an excellent sauna and swimming pool. You can also swim in the sea but the water temperature are most of the year under 15 C ( as also today morning 9.8.) The restaurant has excellent kitchen! Both breakfast and dinner were every time highest quality. I had ( actually twice) the fish of the day, that happen to be whitefish. It is very often prepared too dry, but this grilled whitefish was really succulent. I have never has better whitefish in my life! Strong recommendation for the hotel!

Well renovated, art-focused destination. Very peacefull small hotel, room is well equipped and fresh air. Very clean. Very friendly, Finnish personnel. The location by the sea is stunning. There is a sea view from every room. Sauna and pool excellent. And the breakfast superb, not like in the chain hotels. Will come again. And this is a genuine valuation from a customer, not paid.

Stayed one night here. Peaceful and beautiful location near water and nature. The building and decor are a stylish mix of Scandinavian seventies and modern minimalism. Interesting sculptures in the garden.

I had the pleasure of visitng Hanaholmen in June to attend a business conference. It is really an amazing place. Located on a small island you get in close contact with the sea and feel that you are far away from the stress and busy life in the city. Then again you are just minutes away from the Helsinki city centre. Good food, a nice bar and great outdoor area. Hope for nice weather and enjoy your time - if you're lucky you get a room facing the ocean and you can wake up to the magic from the waves.
