Hotel Indigo (Helsinki Boulevard) has a very central location near everything in Punavuori, Helsinki Center. There are good restaurants, cafeterias and shopping possibilities near the hotel. It is a short walking distance to all main sights. Rooms have street view (Bulevardi) or courtyard view. Rooms with courtyard view are more silent. I had street view but traffic noise didn't disturb me too much and my sleep quality was very good. I recommend that you book a Premium room as I did. It isn't much more expensive than a standard room but it is much better. I had plenty of room, a self-adjustable heating system, a minibar, a safety deposit box, a big flat screen television, an iron, an ironing board and a Nespresso coffee maker in my room. Besides, there was an interesting mural on the inner wall. Also my bathroom with a rain shower was quite big. There was a beautiful, non-transparent glass painting in the wall between the bathroom and the bedroom. The hotel has a good gym or a fitness room with a separate mind & soul studio for relaxing and yoga sessions. They also have free traditional Finnish saunas and steam rooms which are separate for women and men. Saunas are open every evening and on weekends also in the morning. Free fast WiFi is available in the whole hotel. Besides, you may use a computer in the lobby and even photocopying is free of charge up to ten copies. Ice cubes are available through the room service or from the restaurant of the hotel. Baby cots are available through the housekeeping. Laundry services with extra charge are available on weekdays. Laundry that is delivered in a laundry bag at reception before 9 AM will be returned on the same day before 6 PM. The breakfast is very good. Both locally baked breads by the famous Ekberg Bakery, rice pastries (a Finnish specialty), cereals, fruits, yogurt (also vegan yogurt), chia pudding, porridge, cheese, cold cuts, bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, vegetables, Finnish pies (blueberry or apple), cinnamon rolls, cookies and pancakes are available in the buffet. You also may order fried egg, poached egg or omelette from the waiter and it is included in the breakfast. If you pay an extra charge you may order Skagen bread (8 euros), waffle with jam (3 euros) or French toast (5 euros), too. For drinks you can choose freshly squeezed orange juice, apple juice, cranberry juice, extremely healthy buckthorn shot, tea, hot chocolate, coffee, espresso and cappucino. By the way, I have to mention one more specialty. The rye bread sourdough is over a hundred years old! …
