The hotel was very clean and nice. Breakfast was excellent (10 euros). Beds were comfortable. There was coffee and tea available at the lobby during the day. Hotel was extremely silent! Location was good, maybe 10 minutes from the train. No minibars but there were fridge lockers in the hallway. Higly recommended!

I stayed for 2 nights with my 22y daughter. So somehow friends trip. The receptionist was pleasant, we were given full instructions about the hotel clearly which was nice as we had no more questions after that. The room was clean. I did not like the high step to the toilet as I suffer from pain in my joints and it’s difficult to climb such a step if woken in the middle of the night or early in the morning. Another thing that bothered me were the 80cm beds. They were too small. I mean if you are a person that moves a little in their sleep you might fall off the bed. I loved the big window that lessened the need to turn lights on. Each floor seems to have a small kitchenette where is a microwave, cutlery, bowls and plates to use if needed. Also there was a fidget with small container with locks (1 container to each room) to put items in if bought for the shop. The floor also had a washing room with machine, dryer and iron. Also each floor had toys for kids to borrow and play, which I thought was a wonderful thing. Coffee and tea are available for guest for free all working hours of the reception. I thought that was so nice because I can’t eat in the mornings but having a cup of coffee is my morning pleasure. We faced two days of rain and the reception provided an umbrella to borrow. And I heard they also allow guests to borrow bicycles for free in summer times. Truly lovely and worth the price.…

If you are looking for a place to sleep. This may be your choice, but then don’t expect special services or a varied breakfast, for example. However, the location is good and this hotel will work if you just go to sleep here.

If you need a room for overnight, this is the right hotel. Rooms are minimal but clean and the location is great. The hotel is 500 meters from the railway station and can be easily reached by walking. There was third foldable bed in the room. With 3 three beds, there is no room to move around. Even with two people with big luggage's, the room might be to tight.

If you are a business traveller or have a need to find a good place to sleep when driving long distance across Finland, I recommend this hotel. It is situated well for car travellers: easy access, but yet not far from the city center. They have also a good, covered parking lot with reasonable pricing. The hotel is quiet and the beds are comfortable. The room was also meticulously clean. They use, however, cleaning chemicals that lakes toilets and showers smell like hospitals/ ole age facilties. No fridge on the room. Friendly service.

Greenstar hotel is a fresh hotel with a good location. The customer service at the reception was excellent and breakfast was fresh. Our experience at the hotel was more than positive, the only thing that could be improved is the floor in the toilet as it was freezing cold during the wintertime. All in all, the hotel is cozy and should be highly recommended!

Location is not far from main stations. I think we had to lift our baby carriage on the steps but there weren't so many of them. After check-in there was free coffee and bisquits in the lobby! We took them into our room which was clean, with new furnitures. Their rooms are always for three, so there's no need for a pack'n'play, because you can put your baby into third bed. There was a little kitchenette so you can buy from a supermarket something little and eat in your room. That's why we didn't buy breakfast so we can't say anything about it. This hotel (chain) is really green, so they have plenty of different carbage cans where you can sort your rubbishes. We can recommend this hotel for everybody but especially for those, who are interested about sustainable things.

Greenstar hotel is a newish budget hotel close to Jyväskylä center. This is a no frills hotel that provides very basic rooms (bed and bathroom). For business trips this is not an ideal option since the rooms are small and there are no desks in the room. The rooms is lacking attention to the details: the bathroom is approxim. 15 cm higher than the rest of the room and there is no floor heating. The curtains are too small to fully cover the window. The water pressure is too low in the shower. The breakfast is very basic but luckily focuses on quality instead of quantity of the products. Service was smooth at the reception and the price is low providing fairly good price-value.
