The worst place i have ever been to .. as what it is written in the title .. "I didn't choose it, I had to" There is no AirConditioner !! so imagine what will happen in august. Also whenever I ask the waiter to do something or about anything, she answers me in German ??!!! Indeed, I didn't like any thing except for one ---> The location

In the heart of Vienna. It is a quiet hotel with average size rooms and bathrooms. The front desk service was a bit below average as they were not cordial. The breakfasts were excellent with a good variety of food; service was accommodating and very helpful.

I can only speak to what I experienced in late May of 2015, and perhaps they have renovated since then. But, the rooms were very worn and outdated in their decor, and although each room had its own bathroom, each of the bathrooms were the size of a large closet. Literally about 30 square feet in size! The staff was friendly and the complimentary breakfast was very good, the room and bath experience were not at all inviting.

This hotel was prettier and cleaner than expected and way better than in the pictures . breakfast was amazing, better than five stars hotels in romania. It was so close to central attractions too. We loved the candy, the shampagne and the expensive cheeses here. I shall come back for sure.

The Schweizerhof Hotel is located in the very centre of Wien, only two minutes from St. Stephan's Cathedral. We stayed there only for a night in december and...we regret our stay was so short! Our room was nice and confortable even if not so big... Breackfast was exceptional, with everything you can wish. Staff very kindly and professional!

The location is good, the housekeeping good and the breakfast large but average in quality. The front desk staff were not friendly nor very helpful, the WiFi was inconsistent at best, the bathroom is trailer small with a slow drain in the shower, the walls paper thin so you can join in the conversation with your neighbor, or listen to their TV all night. There are extra water closets in the hall so you can leave your room if you like. The place was very dated, but clean, passable bed, and the housekeeping staff appear to take great pride in their work. I want to like this place more because of the location and the housekeeping staff but in the end I don't.

You'll be right at the center of town here but the standard of the hotel and facilities are very old outdated and not a standard when you pay 100 + Euros for a single room. Better hotels in the area for approx same price.

The bedrooms are clean & comfortable if somewhat small. The bathroom was cramped but the shower was good. On a city break you don't spend much time in your room so it suited us. The desk staff were all friendly & helpful. There is a good buffet breakfast catering for all tastes. Some parts do need redecorating. It is very conveniently situated for visiting places such as the Hofburg Palace, the Cathedral & the Museums. The wifi worked very well.

Awful service, impossibly tiny bathroom, aging hotel, non-existent wi-fi public connection, paid safe, amazingly cheesy decor...the only really good thing was breakfast, well served, varied and good quality.

We were with a Rick Steves tour here on an upper floor for two nights. The hotel is definitely aging, and our room was small, as was the bathroom small. Our room had a window that looked out on the upper abandoned floors of another building. We enjoyed watching the pigeons that roosted over there on the window sills. The top floor breakfast room service was not extensive in items, but what was there was very good, and the staff adjusted well to Americans who gulp their coffee, rather than sip daintily. The desk staff, consisting of one man per shift, spoke good English and were able to do a good job of ordering another couple and ourselves a taxi to the airport for our departure, with no discrepancy over the price between hotel clerk and the driver. The Vienna Hard Rock Cafe is one block away, and the Schwedenplatz airport bus leaves from a spot only about 3 blocks away. Also, all of the old Vienna pedestrian zone can be accessed just one block away.
