A quiet hotel, a 10 minute stroll away from the centre were there are bars shops and restaurants lovely atmosphere, take a torch as the roads are un lit. A fantastic welcoming from reception and all the staff especially Anna the bar maid, the rooms were ample with all mod cons set in an American diner/ drive in style, beds were comfortable with spacious wardrobe space, the only let down was the lack of tea/ coffee making facilities in the room, the food was good though we only had breakfasts as we were a golfing 4 ball, the pool was heated with plenty of loungers. Would definitely recommend a visit. We played Q.L North and South courses and Laranjal all in excellent condition, give them a blast.

The good bits .. The staff are by far the best bit about this hotel - they are all friendly and helpful and always engaging. Special shout out to Reception staff and also the lovely Carolina in the breakfast room. Breakfast is good, serving buffet style food, or cooked to order. Didn’t eat anything else there so can’t comment on that. My husband used the gym which he said was very good. The communal rooms are pleasant. The bedrooms are clean (except for one day when our room service was inexplicably overlooked!) The other bits … The hotel location is fairly close to the centre of QDL but it’s not really walkable due to it being on a busy main road with no footpath. The bedrooms, whilst clean and with comfortable beds, are very basic. We had a Plus room which was ground floor with a small terrace. It was very poorly lit having no central light and only 3 lamps (one of which didn’t work!). Very little storage - consisting of one small wardrobe with 3 drawers. Bathroom was again clean but no space to stand any toiletries. It was a good powerful shower. I think there are lots of additional leisure facilities but we didn’t use them as we were on a short golf break. There is a secure storage room to keep clubs in so you don’t have to keep them in your room. Overall the hotel is fine if all you want is a clean base to stay that is handy for local golf courses.

Great hotel for a golf trip. Very clean, great breakfast and excellent service and staff. Heated pool, gym and sauna are a bonus. Definite recommend. 10 minute drive to Quinta Do Lago. This is my third trip and you know the standards here are consistently excellent.

Amazing stay, staff are wonderful, resort is clean and in immaculate condition. I felt like I was in Miami South Beach sipping on Margaritas by the pool. Kids had a blast from the kids amenities to the pool area. The resort is intimate and people are well trained and ready to assist any request! We will return!

Interesting use of “a boutique hotel”. This place lacks any real charm although the staff are excellent. A combination of blocks of rooms which are functional rather than stylish. The bed is comfortable, but the wardrobes are very cheap and the hangers block the ill fitting sliding doors. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, not even a kettle! The hotel is located away from the main centre and walking out at night is dangerous due to the lack of any pavements. In fact hotel staff advise against walking at night. Breakfast is very good, but the lunch and dinner menus are very simple and lacking in choice. There is a nice heated pool and well equipped gym if that is your want. I was staying over the Christmas period and the whole place was very flat and totally lacking in atmosphere. Not a place I would go to again!

Room Tip: Good parking but is more like a motel. 1 or 2 nights fine, any longer look for somewhere else.

I loved this place and every minute of my staying. This resort is a little paradise that offers everything: spa, gym, heated swimming pool, bikes and cinema! You can also book massages. I personally tried the relaxing one with Sylvia and it was worth it. Her hands are magic and her positive energy will help you relax. As I was travelling solo, I also talked with almost all the staffs: they are the heart and soul of this place and I felt like home. Thank you all for this experience! I hope I’ll come back soon and for a longer stay.

Fantastic Hotel, very near all the golf courses and nightlife. A great pool and bar area perfect for couple or group of golfers. Staff we brilliant and incredibly friendly. One small/tiny complaint there were no coffee or tea facilities in the room. Also if you wanted a latte, flat white or cappuccino at breakfast there was a €2 charge which seemed a bit ridiculous. I heard lots of people mention it? For €2 why bother annoying people? Breakfast as a whole was lovely and the chef was amazing..

Spent 4 nights here with 3 golfing friends.we were disappointed in the room areas of the property.there were no locks on either the bathroom or the patio doors and this made us feel a little uncomfortable. The rooms themselves were very small and basic with no tea or coffee making facilities and no iron unless you asked for it at reception. The biggest asset this hotel has are its staff who were friendly and engaged at all times and couldn't do enough to help ,well done to them from us! This is definitely not a 4 star property.the rooms are disappointing and need revamped. Its has a nice boutique feel due the staff but the surroundings don't match up unfortunately.Would give it a miss as there would be better properties around offering more value for money.

Dear Flyer12863930384, Thank you very much for taking the time to share you feedback. We would like to sincerely thank you for you comments on our staff, they are most definetely the biggest asset of our property. We do also appreciate your constructive feedback regarding the bedroom, however please note that due to health and safety we aren´t allowed to have locks inside the bathrooms, once the bedroom door is shut is locked and do not disturb signs are also available. With regards to tea and coffee facilities we do have by default on all suites and cottages however upon request we do send also to any room as we do with iron and other utilities, this is in order to leave the most space as possible in the bedroom to attend to the guests´needs. We surely hope to see you again in the future. Kind Regards, Ricardo Matos

We stayed at the Magnolia Hotel for a night prior to going to our Villa locally. It’s a great hotel - superb service and excellent rates. Love the rooms opening onto a small terrace. Absolutely superb breakfast. Would highly recommend a stay here!
