Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Swallows Rest B&B is super. We wanted a relaxing night away, and we got just that. The rooms are spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The place was very clean. The breakfast was lovely, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

We heard Sam on radio Northampton and Swallows Rest sounded unbelievably good, we checked the reviews and they all sounded good too. Well they are all true! An excellent place to stay with large comfortable bedrooms - ours "The Garden Room" had a great view up the hill across a sheep field. We imagine sitting out in the garden would be great in better weather. The large ensuite bathroom was amazing with both a full size bath and large shower. The breakfast was full of choice, full English was only available at the weekend but actually everything else on the menu was sufficient including eggs on toast and really a full English breakfast was not needed. We stayed 3 nights and explored the village and surrounding areas although the main reason was to visit our relatives in the village. The stay was very good value for money and we will certainly want to go back there.

Beautiful clean accommodation with a warm friendly welcome. Most comfortable bed I've ever slept in away from home! Generous provision of quality tea and coffee in the room as well as delicious homemade cookies every day. Good selection of food at breakfast including very tasty home made bread. Would highly recommend.

We first stayed at Swallows Rest in January and were so impressed we booked it for our next occasion in the area in February. Again, it was just lovely. Both times, we needed a room for the night, but what we got was a mini holiday and a treat. The rooms are beautiful, the beds comfy, the underfloor heating in the bathrooms is a joy. And then next morning a delicious breakfast tailored to your wishes is served by choice either at a table with other guests or on a tray to your room. Sam is a fantastic host, knowledgeable with many tips of where to go and what to do and quick to help organise restaurant bookings. We hope we will be back soon.

Wow.. what can we say.. what a absolute stunning place.. stayed 1 night for a little break.. when we got there it was nice like being in the Cotswolds.. the lady was so welcoming.. the room was I'd say very high luxury. The pics on the net really do not do it justice.. we had everything we needed. Lovely room with a lovely big bath and shower.. then in morning we had breakfast in the room brought on a big tray.. we had egg on toast and was best egg on toast I'd ever had . In the morning all the sheep was in the vine yard it was such a beautiful sight .. if you want a quiet break I would definitely recommend this place.. we will Def be going back .. so this is now our fav place to be going.. and the lady was so welcoming she went above and beyond for us ♥️♥️ so 20/10 for us ♥️♥️

Having stayed here a few times several years ago, we decided to have revisit & have a short stopver en-route! Sam is a super, welcoming host, rooms are delightful & comfy, ample choice for continental breakfast, parking on site & good recommendations for local pub food! It just doesn't disappoint!

Myself and my husband booked the swallow rest for one night away for our wedding anniversary and it was just what we needed. Beautiful quiet and tranquil. From the moment I spoke to Sam to make the booking she was a perfect host and nothing was to much trouble from offering to book us a restaurant to providing phone no for the taxi services. When we arrived the photos had not done the accommodation justice it was outstanding everything was just perfect. The bed was divine (very comfortable) the room was spacious and had everything we needed down to the special touches of the home made cookies. The towels were so soft luxurious and well…the soak in the rolltop bath was very relaxing before bed a perfect way to end a perfect evening. The next morning the breakfast was amazing and it was nice that we also had another couple at the table to share our experience with (funny enough they had sat on the table next to us at the restaurant the evening before ) After we checked out we had a stroll out the back and the scenery and landscape was beautiful , we met new friends ( the sheep) who attempted to come over to us. Can I also mention the house keeping lady who also works hard and thank you for how clean and immaculate our accommodation was. The swollow rest is really a gem of a place and Sam and staff you are amazing in how you upkeep it. We will most definitely be back in the future and I will most definitely be recommending your b&b to family and friends. Yours gratefully Leighann and Johnathon whitmore

Lovely overnight stay at The Swallows Rest. The room and ensuite were beautiful and spotlessly clean. Fantastic midweek continental breakfast. Lots of choice, homemade bread and poached eggs aswell as choice of cerals, yogurts, fresh fruit salad and croissants to name but a few. We stayed in and ordered a take away from the recommendations and ate very comfortably in the fining area. Great communication with Sam and she made us feel very welcome. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
