Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Clean, modern, comfortable, quiet and airy. Excellent breakfasts, central location, helpful and multilingual staff. A few seconds walk from the front door of the hotel will take you to St. Stephen's Basilica, and from there it's a short walk to the Danube, Parliament Buildings, etc. Literally across Andrassy utca. in the other direction is the Jewish Quarter, with great cafes, restaurants, etc. and three synagogues including the famous Dohany synagogue with its exhibitions and memorials. The Hungarian State Opera House is a few seconds north of the hotel. You should note that the dental clinic Helvetic Clinic is situated within the hotel complex and indeed a greater or lesser percentage of guests will be patients there. Not that this impacts on the hotel in any way, but you might wonder what it's all about when you go in.

My family and I stayed at the hotel over the Christmas period. Excellent staff, very friendly and smiling. The room for 3 people was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was beyond expectations. There was a huge selection of savoury and sweet pastries and the gluten free bread was delicious, probably the best I have ever had. A huge thank you to Gergő, the F&B manager.

The hotel is in a great location for all the major sights in a side street directly opposite the St Stephen’s Basilica. It was easy to do everything on foot. We booked a superior room, which was very spacious, lovely hot shower and very quiet at night. The staff were all incredibly friendly and very helpful. And the breakfast was excellent. Would definitely book to stay here again.

We had a delayed night time flight and needed to find accommodation in the early hours - we were so grateful to 12 Revay hotel for a welcoming reception and a very clean and comfortable room. The breakfast was delicious and all staff were really helpful. This hotel is in a great location and I’d stay here again.

I have just spent a lovely 4 days in budapest and I stayed in this hotel and i am glad I did as I found the reception staff to be very helpful and kind specially Kitti Preton who /was extremely helpful. The room was large and very clean and a good size ensuite and the breakfast was excellent plenty of choice. This hotel is very close to st Stephens basicilla only 5 mins walking and 10mins walking to the chain bridge, great restaurants and coffee shops within 5 /mins walking, this is district 6 so a good area to b in. But ladies beware if you get makeup on the towels they will charge you, in the 40 years of travelling this is the first time I ever had to pay for a towel, but I still had a great experience staying there

The hotel is in a fantastic central location and the city itself is one of the best. The rooms were clean as was the hotel. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and not over crowded. All of the staff were extremely polite, friendly and very helpful and I would definitely recommend 12 Revay if you’re visiting. The only slight negative is that we visited during a hot spell and the air conditioning in the rooms was not that great..

Funny thing is that the lobby of the hotel is shared with a dental clinic. We arrived late and did not notice but breakfast time took a wrong turn and almost ended in a dentist chair. Hotel is clean and nice. Wife worked good and good breakfast. Checkout is ealry 10AM but we could stay without charge until 12. You can ask for a late checkout. Cat cafe almost accross the street and location is great. All on this sid eof the river is walkable (except the famous termal bath). Basilica ia practically nexy door so is the fancy shopiing street. Airco did not seem to work good as the room did not get cold quickly. We opened the window and that was good but I am not sure how that works in the hot summers.

Very clean room, modern with all the things you need. Absolutely loved my wee room. It was also quite one. It really made my stay very enjoyable. Also I had breakfast included, which was just perfect for me choice wise. Very central. 2 min walk from Hop on Hop off bus stop. Very lovely restaurants literally around the corner, always Bolt taxis around. The reception girl who checked me in, was very nice, polite and helpful. I definitely made my first trip to Budapest unforgettable.

Nice location near Opera, Basilica, and metro stations. Modern and clean hotel. My street facing room was quiet. Very good breakfast. Excellent service. Good value. Not sure why tripadvisor requires more words to be typed.

Stayed at 12 Revay Hotel for 3 nights in April and we were delighted with the location and the size of our room. We originally booked a king room but were upgraded to a triple which was very spacious. The hotel itself is very modern and clean and very well situated. We spent most of our time in the square infront of the Basilica. Breakfast was good and had a selection of hot and cold food available. Only downside was that the check out time was 10am (which, when you have a 9pm flight isnt ideal). Ideally this should be midday like other hotels.
