New Year's week is a relatively quiet time of year in DC, so we took advantage of the lower rates and stayed at the Fairmont. It is a terrific hotel, with great staff and service. The lobby is well appointed with a nice dining area and bar, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel had a live band for New Year's Eve and the lobby was crowded with partiers, but not over crowded. We had a good time celebrating and it was nice to have our rooms right upstairs. All in all a very good experience and I recommend this hotel highly.

Due to some extenuating circumstances we have stayed here many nights over the last 3+ months. I couldn't have imagined a better experience. We tried several other hotels to save some money with existing points, but none compared (even a quite posh nearby hotel). We decided to return to the Fairmont and pay for a room instead of using points elsewhere.

The front desk staff couldn't be kinder, more helpful, or more professional. The room was always clean, as were the public spaces. The staff was cognizant of COVID and flexibly helpful of my family's concerns. They have been the epitome of genuine (and old school) customer service. The valet parking staff (independent of the hotel itself, but a reflection of it nonetheless) are equally kind, attentive, timely, and helpful. The garage is impeccably clean too. The option to self-park during COVID was also a big relief. There wasn't one employee at the hotel who wasn't completely attentive to my needs - even when I didn't have any.

The hotel is a convenient location, near Georgetown, Dupont, and quite a few locally owned restaurants. Even the limited menu at the bar is quite tasty, as is room service (always fast and well prepared food).

We were here during some security sensitive periods in DC over the winter, and I always felt safe and secure in the hotel because I knew I could trust the staff to be smart (I noticed when the garbage can out front was removed, and was frankly glad to see that level of thoughtfulness).

My only wish for improvement would be that the courtyard would be more usable for outdoor dining. It's a great space that should be perfect during COVID, but I am mindful of restrictions.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you for all of your generosity and kindness during our stay.

I really like this Fairmont...I've stayed here twice. The location is super convenient as it's walking distance from the heart of Georgetown in one direction...and walking distance from Dupont Circle in the other. The lobby is extremely classy, and the outdoor patio area is exquisite, particularly during this cherry blossom season. Drink options at the bar are really solid, and the bartender is pretty flexible as well. The food when ordering room service can be pricy, but I really enjoyed some of the items (particularly the egg white omelet, the smoothie, and the chocolate torsade). Lastly, the fitness center is quite a sight...with many rooms/machines/studios to cater to just about anyone (though some of the weight machines needed a little repair). All in all, it's an excellent experience.

We stayed in a 6th floor suite. There was no bellmen, we carried our own bags, no housekeeping, we made our own bed and changed our own towels. There is no gold level room, the restaurant served food in the lounge area on cocktail tables and lounge furniture. There service was good and professional. For a 5 star hotel, it offers no more amenities than the Embassy Suites across the street. We have stayed in hotels that offer housekeeping as long as the room is unoccupied at cleaning time. Although I sympathize with the service industry during these times, it’s time to stop blaming Covid for service reduction without price compensation.

We stayed there because the hotel has a great pool and we anticipated that we might need to kill some time there, so instead booking a $100 hotel we splurged!
We have never received email that pool is closed, restaurant,is room service only, ( with 20% automatic gratuity and some up charge as well), no free internet, no refrigerator.

Our breakfast that was rather small was 109$ for 3 people and only coffee arrived hot.
I cooked for a family so I know what 3 eggs omelette looks like. Unless it was eggs from a tiny chicken it wasn’t 3 eggs omelette.
$18 pancakes were also tiny. My son had emergency snack immediately afterwards.
Breakfast arrived with beautiful gourmet small orange and raspberry jam. Small Tabasco sauce and ketchup.

We arrived on Sunday and were asked if we want to park at the garage. I saw that it was plenty space on Sunday on the street so I checked and it was free on Sunday. We saved $56.
Hotel has great decor and is very clean.
It’s fantastic place if you’re paying with your company credit card.
If you’re paying with your own don’t waist your time there.
I happened to shut a beautiful picture there.

We are repeat guests of the Fairmont's many locations simply because The Gold Floor is an event in itself, no matter what our destination city has to offer. The DC Fairmont is at the top of our list. After a fabulous breakfast buffet artfully presented, we ended up spending a day in the Gold Lounge in our complimentary Fairmont slippers just reading, chatting, snoozing, and waking up when the next treat came out (best chocolate chip cookies ever!) Pair those with cappuccinos and we were able to stay awake in time for the amazing 5pm hors d'oeuvres, salads, charcuterie/fromage boards, and well-stocked honor bar. But surpassing the unbelievable amenities is the staff. Not only did Alec deftly assist us with a room change when the heating malfunctioned and Cortez searched for perfect tickets for a special event, Opal was pure sunshine and treated us like family. We shared photos, family history, laughter, and left relaxed and eager to return.

We stayed at the Fairmont Georgetown for 5 nights in April and loved the hotel. We wanted to stay a little outside of the hustle and bustle of the city. This hotel had a great location to walk to restaurants and shopping - roughly a mile walk each way. Highly recommend Clyde's and Nobu for dinner and Bread and Chocolate for breakfast (you can walk to both from the hotel). Walk to Baked and Wired for the best cupcakes! There was also a Starbucks across the street if you want to grab something quick. Juniper was not open for dinner, but we did grab some light snacks at the hotel bar/courtyard during the day. The National Mall is about a 15 minute Uber ride.

We had a Signature King room overlooking the courtyard and an adjoining Double Queen Signature overlooking the street. The rooms are huge and the beds are very comfortable. Our last night I could hear a full on conversation through the vent in my bathroom which was bizarre, but I closed the bathroom door and the conversation stopped early. There was an event downstairs. so I'm not sure where the vent was connected to but it was strange to hear someone talking in the bathroom. Our room refrigerator wasn't working and we sent a text to the hotel (who will text you upon check in for any problems) and when we arrived back at the hotel they had put a portable mini fridge in the room.

My only complaint is about the pool. We specifically looked for a hotel that had a pool. This hotel does have one, but it's part of the Balance Gym downstairs. Reservations are required and so we called and were given a 30 minute time slot from 3-3:30. When my kids arrived we awkwardly walked in on the staff talking about flirting before they noticed us standing there. We told them we were there to use the pool and the girl acted surprised and asked if we had a reservation. I told them I had called the previous day. She then told us our reservation shouldn't have been made and that the pool was actually closed from 1-4pm. They said we could come back a little later but there would be a toddler swimming lesson going on. My kids ended up not wanting to go back down, they felt uncomfortable with the set up. If we had younger kids who wanted to use the pool a lot last minute, this would have been a huge problem. Luckily my kids are older (12 and 14) and were fine with not using it at all. This was not a reflection of the Fairmont Staff, but the Balance Gym staff.

Overall we were very happy with the Fairmont. The staff was very helpful, attentive and friendly and we had a great time.

Great stay! Our “courtyard view” room was quiet & we appreciated no street noise. Balcony was very small & the door was hard to push open. The room was a good size & had larger sized closet & furniture to empty clothes in. AC worked perfectly, mattress was comfy, & sheets were soft. Few nice wall hangings, TV worked fine. Carpets & furniture ready for an upgrade- NO gray walls or floors please!!

Wonderful location in Georgetown. Easy walking to other upscale hotels or old town Georgetown.
Lobby/bar area is stunning!!! Plenty of couches, atrium style windows, dining area in patio courtyard, & a gorgeous private entertainment room for weddings & other functions. Hotel bar is amazing!! Quite a popular gathering spot in the evening!

Front desk staff & bartenders, valets & concierge were friendly & professional. Enjoyed our visit & will stay next time we go to DC.

The staff were overly friendly and helpful. The lobby is pretty over the top. The elevators were quick. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious. The shower pressure was very strong and the fabric shower curtain was billowy. And no good place to hang your towel to dry. The bed was too firm for me and the pillows too flat. Not sure what woke us up each morning - Housekeeping or just people talking in the hall.

it was overall a great experience. the staff was great specially the baristas Jawad and Seyoum. they were very friendly and always very fast in their service. and also they knew how to make the best cocktails. they even made me some new ones that tasted amazing. they were always on top of things at the bar. one of the reasons I would return to the hotel is them and the rooms that were very nice . also I loved how the hotel lobby looks and the other venues. one thing i would love to see next time is if the hotel had tour guides included or maybe some small events in the lobby like some other hotels in Canada do. like live music like piano playing in the lobby or a small show. and also one thing that I would like to see is that either breakfast or dinner was included in the price of the room and that I didn't have to pay 50$ for breakfast. but overall i had a blast and i would recommend the hotel to other people and am sure if i ever come back anytime soon which i might i will be staying with you guys. hopefully maybe get a even better rate for the room from this time from you guys. and if you have any offers for Christmas or new years you can let me know you have my email.
