This hotel looks perfect on the internet, but then, when arriving, one must enter the hotel via a creepy court, through the backdoor. Then go into a building and find the hotel's door. They let you in once you've rang the bell. It looked a bit derelict to me. Rooms are spacious, beds o.k. But when we said that the airconditioning wasn't working, they promised to have a look at it. Unfortunately, nothing was done about it. And it has been a hot summer, so imagine a hotel room's temperature :( Breakfast was dreadful, warm milk, dry bread etc. No, I'm not very enthusiastic about this hotel.

Dear Madam, Thank you for your feedback and being open in sharing experience. Although I know my comments would not influence your impression spoiled with navigation difficulties and ouside surroundings, I should mention a couple of things. First of all, on behalf of the hotel I apologize for the inconveienves you faced during your stay with us and yet I thank you for the choice you had made and staying with us. We unfortunatley cannot influence outside navigation signs as this is historical area where all signs are unbeliveably hard to get allowed, otherwise we would do it immediately and with great pleasure! The same reason (historical area) is that a courtyard looks a bit abandoned. It is waiting for its turn inside the state renovation program of historical buildings and yards - ordinary mortals are not allowed changing historical exteriors. We all hope to see our yard renovated in nearest future. I wish you a nice summer and great trips! Kind regards, Mikhail Chernov

When I say hidden, I mean it! It was difficult to find and at the beginning, I almost turned around and left the premises (really!). You have to enter though an internal parking lot belonging to an old condominium. After you manage to find the entrance (had to ask at least three people) and go up the to floors of the old building, expecting the worse, you step into the nice hidden gem! Great: ⁃ Service ⁃ Setting ⁃ Rooms ⁃ Amenities ⁃ Water, Coffee and Tea always available with cookies ⁃ Sleeping quality ⁃ Bathrooms! All quite great and at a very convenient location. Would always go back!

The hotel is very nicely located close to the main avenue Nevsky Prospect and to a couple of metro stations. It is also located on the Fontana river although not overlooking it. The walk from the riverside to the hotel (2min) leaves an impression that you’re entering a not so nice area and the door to the hotel is tucked away with a small sign on the door. The set of steps also confirms that same impression. Don’t be fooled by that however, once you enter, the hotel the room are nice and spacious with all the facilities you need and a recently renovated bathroom of excellent quality. The room she confirm the hotel’s 3 stars rating.. with its location, it’s an excellent place to stay. Breakfast is modest but is sufficient to start your day. By far the best thing about the hotel I stayed the service of the various receptionists who rotate on a 24 hours basis. They are friendly, helpful and will do anything to make your stay a comfortable one.…

The hotel is located in a residential area, as most "mini hotels" in Russia. The hotel is occupying the 3ref and 4th floors of the building. It's warm and cozy, an the rooms are suitable for1-4 people. The staff is very friendly, and the receptionists speak English well enough. Breakfast includes cereal, sausages, eggs, pancakes, yogurts. The room is cleaned daily. The best thing about the hotel it's the location. It's only 5 minutes walking from the main street, and from there you can take three different kinds of transportation to anywhere in the city. The are also several grocery stores in the area and A LOT of restaurants. All in all, had a very pleasant experience at Arkada hotel, and I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in Arkada for 4 days. The staff was friendly but their english not really good. The rooms were smaller then on the photo and the shower was broken. The breakfast was really average and not really tasty. It's a ok hotel but not that good.

We stayed 7 nights in this hotel, it is located in a residential area in city center and its really cozy place that makes hotel like a real home. Location is the very good , within walking to most attractions and bus and metro. Surrounded by lots of good restuarant and bars. Very warm atmosphere and receptionist try to help in any way even they know a little English. Hotel is well decorated and breakfast is basic but enough, tea and coffee with delicious biscuits are served each time you wish makes a home feeling. Hotel is warm , so clean and quiet for enjoying a nice sleep over night. We do stay again in this hotel again and thanks to advises of Nadia , the hotel general manager.

We found this place because of a lot of good reviews online and it turned out to be a very good decision. If you are looking for something that is cheap, clean and has all the basic amenities along with the perfect location. This place is the place for you. It is tough to find at first because it is located inside a regular housing apartment complex. The staff is very friendly. Even though only one person could speak in English, the other tried their very best to help us in whatever way they can. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the breakfast but you cant expect too much when you are paying such a good rate! And their coffee machine wasn't working half the time. But they do offer yummy cookies and tea, coffee, water complimentary throughout the day. Saint petersburg has so much to see and we could explore the main tourist spots on foot because we were living here. If you do decide to choose this place, also, go to this Russian clothing brand BatNorton, which is located right next to Arkada.…

Arkada Hotel is a good, clean and cheap hotel with a great location. My wife and I got a chok when we went through the ugly backyard and smelly stairs. But when we found the hotels frontdoor on the 1. floor everything change. Nice staff who make coffee for you. Not great breakfast but okay. Great location - close to Nevsky Project and a nice street behind with many good restaurants. Very good and clean room and toilet. A nice river just outside and only 200 meters from Anichkov Bridge/Nevsky Project.
