Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A small private hotel with a very convenient location. Simple, but clean and tidy rooms. Heating (in season) and air conditioning. There is a corner to eat, socialize, make tea/coffee or even warm something in microwave. Polite and helpful staff. The entrance to the hotel is locked, each resident has his own key, so he can enter and exit at any time convenient for him. It is possible to get breakfast in the nearby cafes. Tip: If you need a taxi, especially for a trip to the airport, do it through a hotel employee - you will get a good price.

The hotel is centrally located, the room has a view to the street what was great, the reception was very good. The room: Good standard, not luxury but in good condition, comfortable. The location: Good, near to the main attractions, you can walk in 15 minutes to the main attractions. The breakfast: Very good here, we got a pair of coupons to take the breakfast in a nice private owned restaurant on the street near the hotel. Will I come back?: Is a good option, possible if a get a good offer. Thanks

Great features of this hotel: - location (you can walk to many attractions of the city), - they do invitations for visas - has AC (the central location implies traffic noise but with closed windows and AC you can sleep comfortably) - kitchen in a shared area with a fridge, a microwave, teapot and tea, and filtered drinking water! - free wifi - you can leave your valuables for safekeeping with the staff (you'll get a document certifying what you gave and when). - breakfast included (great breakfast with a choice between two cafes right next door) - excellent staff (and this point should be listed first). A bit more about the staff - they speak English, they are very nice (in a sincere kind of way), they really take care of you (they called our cab, they notified the cafe that we'd come for breakfast outside the regular hours - something we didn't think of doing, they walked us to the cab, they printed our boarding passes). Our most sincere thank you's to Julia and Kyrill. Drawbacks - you can hear people in the adjacent rooms if they get too loud. Also, pillows could be a bit more supporting. Another drawback - and this one cannot be fixed by this hotel and is common in Saint-Petersburg - no elevator. The hotel is on the third and the fourth floors (well, technically on the second, because the first floor is the ground floor). Only when you checkin / checkout with your bags it becomes a bit of a nuisance.

We were very happy with this little hotel. Not fancy, but clean, comforatable and a great location, right on the corner of Nevsky Prospect, St Petersburg's Main Street. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed and pillow could have been better, but all good.

Great location on the main street of St Petersburg, close to downtown and train station to Moscow. Friendly English speaking staff, nice clean quiet room with kitchenette also included breakfast voucher. Inexpensive!

Hotel is affordable and you get for what have you paid. Perfect location - very near hopinhopoff bus, metro and starting point for boat trips. Do not expect luxury, but you can find everything you need in the room (common places). Do not recomment to take breakfast. There are many possibilities to have one in the city. Overall, very satisfied and would go once more time:)

The photos already submitted are accurate but don't tell the whole story. Firstly the hotel is in a shared building and the entrance is pretty grim. To reach the reception you have to walk up 3 flights of stairs and the rooms are one floor higher. Anyone with a physical issue will have great difficulty. Secondly the breakfast is very basic although edible. Thirdly the hotel is very noisy being right on the main road and Nevsky Prospect is more like a motorcycle racetrack than a road. On the plus side the reception staff were lovely and very helpful and the bed was OK. The price was reasonable - we paid RUB 4500 per night via Booking.com which is cheap for this expensive city.
