Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Taxi driver told me this was the best hotel in town. Looked like it to me. Impressive lobby; room comfortably furnished; fresh fruit on arrival. Soft bed. Breakfast was mainly rice noodles plus an egg. But there were also some vegetables and fruit. There are a couple of decent restaurants across the street. Small stores for buying snacks a couple blocks away (an easy walk.) Service was polite but reserved. Not sure if they get many foreign guests. I didn't try speaking English. Check in and check out were smooth. Might add for the sake of clarity that this is not where you want to be if you are intent on photographing the famous Dongchuan Red Lands. They are a two-hour bus ride away, across a mountain and into a valley. But this is the nearest large town.
