Rented two rooms. I moved to the second room because there was a mildew smell. My friends took the first room. They complained of roaches. I never saw any in my room but there was still a slight mildew smell. The toilet was not stable it was loose from the foundation. It was a very quiet and secure hotel. There was someone at the desk around the clock. Breakfast was bare minimum. It was located in a great spot for my visit. Believe it or not I would stay here again. You just Can't expect the Ritz for what you pay to stay here

The hotel was room was nice and clean. However I woke up sweating at 4:00 a.m. because the air conditioner quit working. I have had better Continental breakfasts than this one. If there would have been at least a waffle iron where you could have had something hot would have been nice. Breakfast choices were very skimpy. Someone was sitting outside my window by my car drinking. The next morning the beer bottles were still on the sidewalk.

There were good and bad, but as my wife pointed out, I see what I see. There was brand new carpet in the hall, BUT the hall was dimly lit. When we went into our room, brand new carpet with new picture almost as big as the queen -size bed, BUT where the door opened it had a plate covering a hole in the wall, but the plate didnt cover the hole completely . The one thing that would make it to the next level would be 1) new A/C unit 2) new baseboard in bathroom. For the price, it was the cats meow,WELL worth it, definitely would stay here again or put family here to stay

the property was clean and the staff was pleasant and courteous, the breakfast was varied and plenty, lobby and breakfast were clean, the room was nice, new carpet was obvious and very nice. My few issues were the bad was a bit hard for my taste, the tv remote was hard to function and my biggest issue was the scattered bits of trash outside our first floor window, a few of these bits were most definitely UN-mentionable. I can only suggest the grounds are policed a little more often, especialy the back portion of the building.

Nice, large bed. Cigarette smell all in hallway and musty smell in room, but no cigarette smell in room. Got used to musty smell quickly. Also, both tea bags in coffee maker had been opened, but there was a complementary breakfast downstairs. The smells and tea bags were the main reasons for the 3 star rating. The reason for the excellent location rating was because it was close to my final destination. It is really not in the best part of town and location would have been a bit less had it not been for the proximity to my travel venue.

The hotel had a really bad odor in the hallways and the room smelled also. Plus the beds didn't have fitted sheets and the sheet kept coming of the mattress. Also the cable kept going out. Hotel was in Homewood Al. Nice part of town.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this Birmingham Super 8. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comforatable and clean. The hotel itself is dated but has seen recent improvement. Walls between rooms are not very sound proof and may cause difficulty with some guests. Overall, our stay was pleasant.

About 9 years ago my wife and I visited Birmingham for the first time. I selected this motel because it was a Super-8, the price was right, and it was an easy drive to Barber Motorsports Park. We are in our 70s and have been coming back about twice a year since then. This not a resort or a destination, but a clean, comfortable, nicely priced place to stay. The staff have always been friendly and cooperative and don't seem to change much. It's close to I-65 exit 256 but there is a nice buffer (big hill) between the motel and the highway and it's very quiet.
