Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

when we arrived, we asked for kitchen closing time so we could have a light snack and a dessert on our return, we were told the kitchen closes at 10pm and bar closes at 11pm.when we came down at 9pm for something to eat we were told that the kitchen was closed and no hot food was available. long story short we had crisps for dinner. for breakfast, we waited a while before seating ourselves, then caught a member of staff to tell them our room number. no cutlery and napkins to be seen, i had to steal them from another table across the dining area, also all 4 juice dispensers were empty, yoghurts were gone, there were no clean cups, the coffee machine had run out of milk when we tried to get a latte. overall, we had to wait for a lot of things to be resolved before actually getting our breakfast.

We travelled by train to attend a gig at dreamland - this premier inn is amazing ! A few minutes from the station and 5 mins from dreamland . Due to half term the hotel was full but you would have never have known this - it was so quiet !

I have been coming here several times a year for some years. For the last couple of years, there has been something wrong on every visit: this time the shower was either scalding or freezing. The first time I reported it nothing happened. Later that day I reported it again (by now mid-Saturday afteronon) to a different member of staff. It seemed the first staff member hadn't passed it on, but the second quickly came over, verified the fault and arranged for it to be fixed that evening. I cannot fault her. It won't be long before the curtains are off in that room ( a common problem, I have found). I was put in the annex, which has air conditioning, but also a faintly musty smell and a sense of damp - nothing that pronounced. The windows don't open in the annex rooms. Breakfast was OK - probably good value if you eat a lot; less so if you don't. There was no orange juice (a first!) ; instead some "tropical juice" which was watery and almost tasteless. Machine coffee is adequate. Cooked breakfast is reasonable. The bed was, as always, comfortable and the room a decent size, if a little dark. Location is excellent - right next to the railway station, which I use a lot. Wouldn't it be nice if there were some steps from the station area into the Premier Inn approach - there is a low wall to step over and a steep grassy bank to slither down. Instead you are supposed to walk / wheel your case a hundred yards down the station approach and then back again, crossing the approach road: two hundred yards instead of about ten if steps down the bank were provided. As usual it is very car-orientated, which is a pity when it's right next to the station. In summary, it's time this hotel had a refresh, and some improvements (eg the aforementioned steps).

On arrival I was told I only had 3 nights booked when I had 5 nights booked. On the 3rd night I asked for room clean but never got done. When we went for breakfast I was told I wasn't booked for a cooked breakfast so I had to go and get proof which I paid for 5 full breakfast. The restaurant was unclear with dust build up. Tables and floor very sticky. Tables weren't getting cleared quick enough. Terrible place to eat. Buffet was cold also. Will not be booking to stay here again. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and water pressure from the shower was good. The TV speaker was crackling and not very good. WiFi was very very slow.

Large, spacious, clean room with a comfortable bed, plus an extra single sofa bed. Great sea view and openable window. Good shower pressure, good breakfast, working TV. Only minor issue was the shower gel dispenser was empty. Enjoyed our stay.

This hotel was very well situated for the train station and the seafront, I'm disabled and wanted to do as little walking as possible, so this worked well for me. The star for friendly and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. There's a very good restaurant attached to the hotel, which had a nice selection of food including vegetarian options and the desserts were especially nice. I had a sea view which was good and I like the fact that the bed was quite high, which, as a disabled person, was easier for me to get on and off of. The one low point is that the power shower is just a shower over a bath and not a separate cubicle, I'm unable to get in and out of a bath so this meant that I only had the sink to use for washing. They could have made this clear on the website and I would have booked an accessible room instead. It made the room seem over priced with it not having a suitable washing facility for me. I would definitely stay here again though and thoroughly recommend it, so long as you realise about the shower. I was especially impressed with a lady called Lisa who worked in the brewers fayre restaurant that's attached to the hotel. She very kindly carried my food and drink up to my room for me as she could see it would be very difficult for me to do so as I walk with a walking frame and have a white stick for my lack of vision, and there are a lot of doors and corridors to go through to get back to the rooms. This was on the evening of Tuesday the 5th of March, nobody had offered to help me the evening before, so this kindness stood out to me. All in all I had a very nice stay and I look forward to coming back again.

It was a Premier Inn! Not much more, really! Staff, as always, very pleasant and helpful. The beds seem to have shrunk - I always expect a king-size bed but this was just double. Bedroom OK; why are they so poorly designed, though? No chest of drawers; you can't use a hairdryer at the 'dressing table' table as the mirror is about two feet higher. No USB sockets in the plugs. The curtain in our room had come adrift from the hooks (actually, hooks were missing for the first 12 inches of the curtain). And why don't they provide more than two tea bags/sugars/milks? they are willingly provided at Reception, but it is a pain having to remember to ask. Free standard wifi, a nice change for a budget chain. Oh, I wish they had clearer signage at front - you park in the restaurant carpark at front, but realise as you trudge round that there is actually hotel car parking at the back, by the hotel front entrance!

Usual Premier Inn standard. Room fine but pillows too hard. Good location for walking into town and plenty of car parking. Brewers Fayre restaurant average evening meal. A little overpriced for actual meal. Cold chips were replaced.

The rooms smelt stale and weren't what I expect from Premier Inn. I refused to stay at the hotel due to the smells and noise, the reception couldn't refund (he was really helpful but couldn't refund due to the system!!!) 30 minutes on the phone to Customer Relations didn't resolve anything and was told to call back the next day to request a refund. 45 minutes on the phone the next day eventually lead to agreement for refund....though it will take approximately 10 working days to appear. This is not Premier Inns finest hour, the service was appauling!
