Hosts and staff were very welcoming. The food in the pub was delicious. Rooms were a little tired but clean, very comfortable and reasonable in cost. One concern I did have was about the room being above a pub, I was assured by the host that any noise from the pub would be finished by 11:30pm (it was) however with the windows and curtains in the room closed you could hardly hear it. It might be a situated a little outside of Margate but it was very easy to get to, about 20min walk into Margate (buses directly from the town / station stop very close to the hotel)

Stayed at The Hussar for 3 nights. Room was large although a bit noisy due to the proximity of the main road. Bathroom again large with a powerful over bath shower. Plenty of hot water. Food at The Hussar is recommended my partner had the Chilli and was very impressed. Hosts very welcoming.

Was a good price but very disappointed was clean bed was comfortable. No chair tho and it said it a 15 min walk believe me it far from a 15 min walk we timed ourselves it took a steady 25 mins so bit to far out for us , it was friendly but lots of noise next door bedroom you can hear every thing from boiling the kettle to opening wardrobe to having a pee! etc felt like they was in our room studded walls so was awake at 5,30, along with the neighbours so a nightmare when u want to sleep longer ,I wanted a cuppa but no milk , no breakfast nor do they supply even if you want to pay for one so a let down , it served a purpose for one night but I wouldn’t come back and to be honest there’s a premier in. Next door to station that we didn’t know about so in future it’s worth paying the extra it seems !! It right on top of everything ! …

This is a very noisy pub with rooms above. It’s not a place I can recommend . The room was a good size, clean, but needs refurbishing. Good sized, clean bathroom, all the basics, but no chair in the bedroom to place clothes. The bedsides light were old and I had to jiggle the bulbs to get them to work. The hotel is opposite a nice South Indian restaurant and not far at all from the town centre, but you won’t sleep till the pub below has closed.

This place is situated on the outskirts of Margate away from the centre, on a main road but this did not deter from a good night's stay with very little traffic noise. There was a warm welcome from the owners and the room was very very spacious with everything you could need included. The bed was very comfortable too. The onsite restaurant served Thai and traditional English pub food on the night we were there, and the food was delicious. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a place to stay in the area.

The pub side of things really wasn’t very friendly, seems to be a pub for the locals and since two got served before me whilst I got ignored, it’s somewhere I refuse to spend my money in. Plenty of my nicer pubs more friendly and helpful in the area.

A bit tired and needs further decorating. Owners are obviously upgrading the rooms, but they have some work to do. Our room did have a bathroom with a bath & shower which we liked. Bed was very comfy. Hosts were very pleasant. Pros - Quite a good location It’s a pub with a beer garden, restaurant and bar Bed was very comfortable Hosts very nice Cons - Rooms and entrance need further decoration Bedroom furniture needs updating
