Our room was very very spacious, but also quite dated. The carpet had definitely seen better days. Room was very dimly lit. Our bathroom wasn’t clean. Though it had ample towels. However, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Especially Vinny and Linda. Exceptionally courteous.

Not Marriott standards. The poor girl at the front desk had to do both the front desk and the bar, which left the bar rather a mess and ridiculous. I had to go find juice for a vodka and cranberry from the front market. The girl at the front desk was just lovely. But the hotel clearly needs some care. There was a ball of hair on the floor in the hallway outside the elevator for a room. The bathroom was more cramped than the photos looked online. And they just don’t behave like a Marriott property. I logged into the premium Internet, which was supposed to be free for gold and above, and I’m platinum, but in a piece of paper they hand you when you check in, one of the lines is that if you select anything other than the Bonvoy free version, there’s a nonrefundable $10 charge. So they must be quite used to doing this little number on unsuspecting guests. Not a hotel I would stay at again.

Not sure what is worse, being robbed by housekeeping, having overflowing toilets, witnessing assaults in lobby, rude staff, or the GM in charge that is allowing all this on his watch with utter indifference to guest concerns. It was so bad of an experience that I contemplate avoiding Marriott as a whole.

He Shawn! Thank you for canceling my reservation after we confirmed our room 6 times over 6 weeks AS WE WERE DRIVING INTO THE PARKING LOT. Poor Shawn was all upset that customers were upset with him that week (his words) and had enough. You see... Shawn confirmed the wrong room for us THE DAY BEFORE. He said customers were yelling at him all week (yeah I guess when you mess up it can be tough). Instead of dealing with it - he cancels us. "Shawn you messed up! What are you going to do to fix it?" I drove 15 hours with a family of 6 and now I have no where to stay." Shawn: "Me? Nothing. Hears my card. Call someone who cares. If you don't leave I will call the police". Way to go Shawn. What a piece of work. You should be fired. You are obviously not very good at your job and do not do it well.

I booked my stay over 7 months ago…we are attending the Junior Olympics the end of July. I received an email saying there was damage to the hotel due to a storm and the hotel would be closed for repairs. That is a lie. They are already REBOOKING these rooms at 4x my rate. This is ridiculous. They told me that I am WELCOME to book across the street at a different hotel. MY EVENT IS LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AWAY!! EVERYTHING IS BOOKED! That’s why I booked 7 months ago! Evidently they forgot to block those dates out. I will NEVER STAY AT ANY MARRIOTT PROPERTY AGAIN!!!!! I travel at least 2 weekends a month!!! I will tell EVERYONE about this horrible experience! THEY DEFINITELY HAVE 0 CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!!!!!!!! I’m extremely disgusted!!!!!!!!!!

This hotel cancelled my reservation I booked 6 months in advance saying they had to shut down due to flood damage. Turns out this was a lie they told so they could cancel my low rate to charge someone else triple the amount due to big events going on in Greensboro same week. Don’t trust these people and Marriott should be ashamed having the Patel’s run their hotel brand.

PEOPLE...GO ELSEWHERE...YOU WORK TO HARD FOR YOUR MONEY, GIVE IT TO A HOTEL THAT ACTUALLY APPRECIATES YOUR BUSINESS! I WOULD'VE RATHER HAVE SLEPT ON THE STREETS THAN AT THAT PLACE...MIND YOU, I'M A GOLD ELITE MEMBER AND THIS IS HOW I WAS TREATED AT THAT HOTEL! I stayed there...well, I tried to stay there, I had a reservation and came in on a red eye flight. I had received an email from Marriott about "early check in" which I completed. When I arrived a young girl at the front desk greeted me, I stated I was there to check in and she said they had no rooms. I clarified and stated I had completed an "early check in" and she gave me attitude and said "uh, like I said, we don't have any rooms." I questioned why I was sent that and she stared at me like deer in headlights. Since my ride was already there for a business meeting I decided to leave but was very disappointed in the service already. I whispered under my breath as I walked out "I should just cancel my reservation and go somewhere else." As I was loading my bags in the car, I was accosted in the parking lot by a large African American male about 6'4" and over 350 pounds who got in my face and asked my name in a very hostile and threatening manner. He asked me my name numerous times which I never gave because I didn't know who he was, he never identified himself. He later said he was the manager (shocking they act this way) and they were cancelling my reservation because I gave an "attitude" to the front desk person. I stated she gave me attitude and walked away, then I stated I'll come back later and we can sit down with Marriott and discuss why I had this early check in. He stated they have nothing to do with Marriott, again, shocking since I booked it on Marriott and I received the check in from Marriott. He never apologized what so ever. At that point I was so angry at the way I was being treated that yes, I used a vulgar word/phrase as I left. I later called the General Manager, he answered the phone "yes, what can I do for you?" never identified himself. After telling him what happened and mind you I can hear the front desk girl saying "that didn't happen" and "I never said that", I thought the conversation was private, I guess not but his response was "what do you want me to do about it..." Shocked again at the response...he then stated "we're cancelling your reservation" which at this point I didn't care and firmly believe the staff acts as their GM does. I called corporate later in which they apologized and noticed in the notes that the GM was to call me to apologize which he never did and at that point I could care less.

Don't risk staying here. From the moment of arrive to the end of our 5 day stay was disappointing. Bath faucet was about to fall off; toilet ran every 15 seconds and staff refused to fix; safe was broken; had to fight for towels; dirty windows and dirt caked on floor below; two light bulb per room barely lit the room; fights in the parking lot at midnight; AND bogus charges for food added to our bill. No one ever greeted us coming or going and coffee bar/lobby dirty. People loitered at front desk and out front I think visiting with the person who was supposed to be working the desk while sports blared on the TV across the lobby. I don't know what other Sheratons are like but this was more akin to an inner city crime-ridden location. One tiny bar of soap was only toiletry given for 5 days; no housekeeping ever seen; no one was at the front desk at night or early AM.

Firstly, when I arrived, two employees were talking about a bill or something. I waited a few minutes without being acknowledged. I had to ask her to please check me in cuz I was getting off a road trip and I was tired. She did. The next day, I see housekeeping in the hallway and ask for extra towels. She doesn't want to give it to me unless I give her my old towels. I have NEVER been asked that at a hotel. When I said that, she told me I had an attitude. I told her, 'well, I think you have an attitude.' Finally, two weeks after my stay, I wasn't refunded my deposit. I call and guess what ... more poor customer service, got yelled at and hung up on. In the end, I had a civil conversation with a manager, but he seemed to side with his employees with little empathy for the customer. I think they are very short-staffed and employees are losing their cool with customers ... not good. I will not stay here again.

Awesome clean rooms! I couldn’t say enough with this hotel. Huge TVs in the bedroom, comfortable beds, everything is clean, a study space in the lobby if you need it. Definitely would recommend this hotel if you are in the area and aren’t sure where to stay!
