Stayed here as part of the Shearings Classic Spain trip - this was used as the hotel you come into from the airport for the start of the tour and the final night. I thought the room was a good standard, clean and tidy and modern. The hotel has an inner courtyard which reminds you of the Spanish 'Moorish' past. I only had one breakfast here - thought the cold food was more appealing than the hot. Did not eat an evening meal in the hotel so can't comment on this. It is in a residential area so not much around bit quite fascinating to have a walk around. You will hear the odd dogs barking and family get together. It is around 10-15 mins of the beach and some nice beach side cafe to eat in that area. Personally a good spot for transit.

Arrived here very late on Sat. 21 Sept due to problems with flights, had a job to check in as man at reception had difficulty finding information about us. Breakfast o.k. in the morning, room comfortable, the last day as we left the hotel at 5 a.m. handed a packed lunch!! Consisted of one bread roll with chorizo and one apple, a carton of juice and a small bottle of water. Is that the best you can do. I host visitors from all over Europe and the Arabic countries and I would be ashamed to give them a packed lunch like that. We did not find the staff on reception very friendly, would not recommend this hotel.

Thank you for your comments. The items of the packed lunch depend on the price contracted.......if you need something better, may be you have to invest more money in your stay.

Stayed here for two nights last week as part of a Shearings Classic Spain tour. First impression was poor with cracked & debonded tiles on the balcony creating a trip hazard. Food was both for evening meals & breakfast was of a poor standard. Staff ok but a little bit surly. This is very much a budget hotel but with a location close to the beach. Use the rooms & eat at the beach cafés.

The hotel is beautiful but not fresh. We came with our 9 month year old baby to the hotel and the staff told us there is no baby bed. We should have called them before.. Hmm.. When there was a new man in the reception we could suddenly have a baby bed (2 pm) Nothing was clean in the restaurant and we couldn't use the plates because of old food on the plates and even the cups and glasses was dirty too. If you don't want to get sick. Please don't go to this hotel.

Our tour company EF tour book this hotel for 3 High School from the USA. Hotel is okay, the beach is 1.2km away from the hotel. Our room didn't have any TV. The personal where very friendly (if you speak Castellano is a plus, otherwise they don't speak English, only the receptionist do). We need to understand that European people are very quiet [I meet two receptionist that, where not very outgoing]. I have fun talking to Nuria and Paco the people who make sure you have a pleasant stay. You can be kind to ask to the receptionist something and they will answer you not very friendly [some of them, especially the night shift]. Around the hotel are places to go, groceries store, the beach.. across is a private English school, I had fun practicing with them English. I wish we have more time to know Barcelona. They speak Catalan, Spanish, and English. Barcelona is NOT Spain [that's what I was told, over and over 😬😬😬] Ps. I wanted to post pictures from Google photoa, but I can't! I will try later.. sorry!

What a lovely hotel. Really enjoyed our stay and so glad we stayed here. In a quiet area but only 5 minutes to the bus stop which takes you to and from Barcelona centre in about 45 minute; 10 minute walk to the most stunning beach and probably about 30 minutes to the resort centre. A very Spanish hotel and resort which I loved; staff were so helpful and welcoming; breakfast was plentiful and bar reasonably priced. Room was a great size, our balcony was huge and bathroom very modern. Loved this place and would recommend to others.

Pleasant and picturesque. Great swimming pool. Served dinner. Buffet breaskfast - overcrowded, coffemakers did not work + staff did not seem to be well organized. We were on a travel agency group tour and just spent one night there. Issue: we were travelling by a big bus which had a big problem to get there (narrow streets, corners, parking cars).

We enjoyed a lovely four night stay at the Hotel Canal Olympic. Arriving late evening at Barcelona airport, we travelled to Castelldefels on bus N16. Buy a 'T10' ten-journey ticket at the airport railway or metro station and the journey is just 90c. The journey time was 45 minutes. The hotel is situated in a quiet, pleasant tree-lined residential area and is a gentle 15 minute walk from the beautiful beach. It is two blocks away from the Olympic lake - perfect for watersports fans. Check-in was fast, welcoming and friendly and the lobby and common areas were fresh and clean. Our air conditioned room overlooked the swimming pool and gardens and the mountains in the distance. The room was spacious and well-furnished with a large, modern bathroom. The well-presented room had been cleaned to a very high standard. There was no external noise. The beds were comfortable and the linens were perfectly laundered. Patio doors led onto a large 'L' shaped balcony with chairs and a table. The balcony received all day direct sunshine from around 11am. Self-service buffet breakfast was included in the room rate and was comprised of cereals, fruit, breads, cheeses, cold meats, bacon, sausages, Spanish omelette, pastries, tea, coffee and juices. Plenty to choose from and all fresh and regularly replenished. The hotel offers a swimming pool, bar, cafe with patio, sauna and restaurant. The photographs on the hotel's website are accurate. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room but hot, cold and alcoholic drinks are available from the bar and, at night, from reception. We took bus L99 into Barcelona for sightseeing. The stop is two blocks away from the hotel and the bus terminates right in the city centre at Plaça de Catalunya, Again, use the T10 ticket - Castadellfels is in Zone 1 so you can travel all the way across the Barcelona metropolitan area by bus or train or tram or metro for 90c with the one ticket. In the other direction, the L99 will take you the the excellent Annec Blau shopping centre. L99 runs every 20 minutes. If you are looking for peace and quiet, an easy walk to the beach (the beach is fabulous) and good connections to Castelldefels and Barcelona then this is the hotel for you.

Normally stay in Barcelona itself when visiting, however have passed through Castelldelfels on the train to Stiges. Decide to stay in Castelldelfels itself as we wanted a quiet and relaxing hotel stay. Hotel Canal Olimpic fitted the bill. While it is a bit out the way for most tourist it fitted the bill perfectly. Set in a quiet residential area, the hotel itself was very clean and staff very family, especial the friendly night receptionist who was alway friend and happy to help. She is a star and the management should be proud to have her. The room we had was very spacious with a balcony which overlooked the swimming pool. It had good views of the mountains in the distant. The bathroom had a bath / shower and a bidet to. Plenty of towels and a small selection of toiletries. The beds were very comfortable and had air conditioning. Breakfast was mainly continental and had a reasonable selection which was served in the restaurant. There was also a cafeteria which you could use during to day to relax, read drink or snack. Hotel also had a sauna. The pool area was very clean and spacious. No lifeguard in attendance, but life servers around the pool. Plenty of sun loungers and seating. The beach was around 15 min walk, where there are a few beach bars and restaurants to enjoy. There are bus services into Barcelona (L95 @ N16) which has stops within 10 min walk from hotel. Recommended if you love the sun and a quiet life and happy to explore. 99% of guest were Spanish which made the stay even more enjoyable and authentic.

4th year visiting Castelldefel, good option for a short break. Very helpful & polite staff, clean room. Location for the Canal Olympic is perfect, and from experience there are some better located places to stay. Overall a good stay for a week and can't fault the service or staff who were excellent and friendly. Only down point was the poolside. Lets the the hotel down, the pool is a good size and lovely and clean but poolside really needs re surfacing and of the 9 recliners, only 6 worked and 3 of those had cracks in! So once one family chucked down their towels there was a battle on for a half decent recliner. Beach is about 15 mins away, shopping mall about 20mins,train station/town 20mins, petrol station 10mins, just lacked that little local shop to nip too. Distances dont sound far, but in 40c heat...it somehow seems a lot further when you're walking. Would recommend for a short stay, but for a longer break would definitely go self catering. Amenities: No fridge, safe or iron provided. Rubbish hair dryer so bring one! Decent bar and cafe for a quick snack, didn't eat but restaurant looked good and breakfast looked decent value. Loads of storage, lacked surface space so got messy quickly especially being a small room for 3 people once the sofa bed was opened up. Nice balcony with table and chairs , ask for a pool facing room on the 2nd floor. Wifi a bit glitchy in room 202. Loads of plugs points. Would recommend because for the very reasonable price you really can't grumble! It's a nice non corporate hotel, with a lovely cool lobby! Only marking down because of the poolside
