Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had the best here, absolutely amazing! Staff are so friendly and helpful. The slopes are brilliant. It's a beautiful magical place, we didn't want to come home. Foods nice enough in the hotel and it's always warm and welcoming. Would recommend.

Last thing you need when going to breakfast on the first morning is the staff to be greeting you with screaming that you are late for 10am breakfast by 1 minute. The Asian lady then started to shoo other people off their tables after another 5 minutes. Stressful situation to say the least, and a terrible way for hotel guests to have their first experience of their staff. The hotel room was large but very dated. Painted tiles (rather than them being replaced), broken oven that doesn’t work, very old kitchen cupboard units chipped and hanging off hinges, wooden steps into bathrooms to stub your toes every time, chipped wooden stairs that give you splinters in your feet when walking up them. Etc. Would choose somewhere else next time.

Check in was supposed to be 4pm - arrived at hotel at 11am and rep said check in was usually earlier - room not ready until 5pm - we were not alone! Got into room to find a random sock in the corner and a dirty glass with some liquid in on top of the cabinet! None of this funny when you’ve been up half the night as flight was 6am !

Comfortable hotel, lovely food. We loved the sauna but the jacuzzi could have been a little warmer. My 5 year old daughter loved the Tui Snow club and their entertainment staff were amazing, thank you!

Visited The crazy reindeer for 4 days with family and friends, booked via TUI. On arrival at the hotel the queues were long to check-in, the staff were polite though and luckily our room was ready (roughly 2pm), our friends were not so unlikely who were waiting in reception until 4.30pm. We had a twin room, which was in a separate block to the main reception. The room was clean, but very dated and dark. Not really an issue though as we spent limited time in it. The hotel itself is nice, lots of room to sit and relax after a day in the snow. The drinks were pricey, £9.80 for a pint of beer. £7.50 for a power aid soft drink! After the 1st day we took a trip to the local supermarket and stocked up. The food is fine, a little bit repetitive and not much selection but we always managed to find something to eat. Be prepared to eat meatballs for breakfast and tea :-) There’s a ‘nightclub’ on-site, we tried it twice but both times were the only people in there. It’s a shame as it’s a nice place, just needs a bit more atmosphere. The location is great, just a short walk to the centre and slopes. If you manage to acquire a sledge (sometimes left outside the hotel), take them up to the large hill in the town. After 7.15pm they turn the flood lights off and you can climb the actual ski slope and sledge down. A few good family friendly bars in the centre and some nice restaurants. Overall a great trip, one definitely to remember.

Room Tip: Go to the supermarket for soft drinks/snacks as the hotel is super expensive.

Public areas are really nice and staff cannot be faulted. Great location and the rooms, whilst a bit dated, were more than adequate as a base for our Lapland adventure. I have to say though, the food, both breakfast and dinner, was terrible so we ate out each night. Having previously stayed at the K5, we preferred that hotel but if returning again would definitely go for the Levi Spa Hotel.

We have just arrived back from Crazy Reindeer and we really enjoyed our stay! It was our first time to Lapland and reading previous reviews I wasnt sure what to expect from the hotel but we loved it! The room was a decent size for the 3 of us with a lovely balcony which looked over the ski slopes. The room was cleaned every day to a high standard! Now the food is a little bizarre but bare in mind that you are in Finland so just embrace it. I personally enjoyed every meal we had in the morning and evening. It has Chicken Nuggets, Hot dogs, fish fingers and chips (lovely chips) for the kids so everyone is catered for! The bar area is nice too but is quite expensive for a beer (around £8) but that is around going rate. There are 2 supermarkets within a 5 minute walk of the hotel so you can stock up on goods if needed. Its not overly expensive either (and I am tight) The only thing which would have been good was if the sauna opened sooner than 5pm but that really is the only fault I can find! 5 stars from the Edwards family!

This was my first trip to Finland. I was there for the World Cup Women's Slalom Events. Levy was a winter wonderland with 2 feet of snow and cold cold cold. But I had a blast! The Hullu Poro Hotel is beautiful, old style & comfortable. Very nice breakfast with lots of variety ( vegetables, bread s, cheeses, meats) and a staff that is so kind, professional and helpful. I would like to mention in particular the front desk people Jesse, Henna, Iida. And the housekeeping lady Ada. They all made me feel at home. And their English was superb. I was alone much of the time so I appreciated their talking to me as I waited around for my appointments. Also the room was comfortable and warm. Nice hot shower. Good lighting for reading. And I used the sauna-- all very clean and enjoyable. t is my hope to return to the World Cup Event next year and stay at Hullu Poro again.
