Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was our 2nd visit, having visited 4 years previously. There are reindeer/husky rides, snowmobiles , a lovely cafe. The reindeer ride is 20 euros per person and you can feed them afterwards. The only issue is with the snowmobiles. Apparently the 10am and 10.30am...slots are bookings only but from 11am it's a queueing system, only there is no queueing system which resulted in a group becoming angry with us as we'd queued 30 mins before they arrived but they thought they had priority despite it being after 11am. We had similar issues 4 years ago too. Apart from this, it's a great way to spend a few hours. Staff are very friendly.More

Really A place to visit. Best donuts in the World!!! Also other servings looked good, but I never wanted to change my first choice. Also lot of other activities (reindeer rides, dog sledge rides etc). Go by bike, skiing or car, but don’t miss it.

Indoors closed due to corona, but you were still able to buy food and drinks outside. Very tasty pancakes and friendly service.

Cozy and authentic café reachable by cross country skiing or car. About 10km from the Ruka slopes a small oasis called Lammintupa exists. A cozy café with great pancakes and a nice stop along the cross country tracks. You can also come here by car....There are several other fun family activities here, as husky sledding, husky puppy petting, snow mobile rental for kids, and ice go karting. We went on a 5 husky tour with the family (kids aged 8,7&4) and we all loved it. We parents drove the sleds and the kids rode in them. After the tour we got to visit the husky puppies and then enjoyed a nice lunch in a traditional Kota. Well worth a visit.More

Went with family for the husky ride an excellent morning. We got to pet the puppies and were given a good explanation of the training they get. We had sausages cobs with hot juice and coffee round an open fire. The cafe also has a...good selection of food and staff were friendly and helpful.More

They really are doing everything by themselves! Quite crowded all the time because of available husky- and reindeer-safaris. Only false is that beer is not served at all...

We visited on Christmas Day as a group. We got a taxi from our hotel 75€ each way from hotel club Kuusamo. We booked one excursion before we arrived but booked the rest when we got there. Reindeer ride is 60€ for 4 people, lasted...3/4 minutes but lovely experience. Kids snow mobile ride is 20€ for 20 mins. They get given instructions before before you go on. I’ve karting 20€ for 10 mins, this is on a frozen lake & extremly cold. Finished our morning off with drinks & cakes in the cafe, it’s fairly small cafe but big tables, most people are happy to share. Prices are massively cheaper than booking with our holiday provider - that’s why we went!! Staff happy & helpful too.More

We cannot recommend Lammintupa enough. We had the best day here on our Ski trip to Ruka. We travelled with TUI from the UK and looked at their excursions but I came across this lovely little place on google. I am so pleased I did,...we were able to do everything we wanted to in one place, and in one morning which left us plenty of time to ski and saved us a lot of money from what we may have paid otherwise. We caught a taxi from Ruka, it's not very far at all. You can cross country ski from Ruka too if your able. We started by having a warm coffee to warm us up and a delicious cinnamon pastry (highly recommended). We then paid to do the husky ride. The staff were so lovely and it was an amazing experience. I think the highlight was when they let us enter the puppy pen and cuddle the amazingly cute puppies. We then headed back inside for more hot chocolate and cake before heading over to the ice karting. The boys did the 20/25 minute option which was more enough as it was so cold! They really enjoyed it, was so much fun. You can also have a reindeer ride or little ones can ride on mini ski-doos. It was such a great day out and we will definitely return in the future.More

In the half-way of the 12 km Vuosseli skiing track, this reindeer farm is place worth visiting. The pancakes with northern berries and whipped cream is a must! I like the dogs and reindeer as well. Very nice toilets and sunny terrace.
