Set in a beautifully lit, tree lined inner courtyard, this restaurant is just lovely. With hardworking young staff and delicious food and wine, it makes for a memorable evening. I literally chose one of the fish of the day - sea bream- which was perfect...for feeding a whole family. A bit too much for one with hindsight so perhaps share this option and spread the considerable cost a bit. My non fish eating husband enjoyed his chicken. We shared fabulous cannoli with our coffee. We had a memorable evening in gorgeous surroundings - it might even have been romantic!More
We ate a farewell to the tour group dinner here, arranged by our tour operator, Esplora Travel. The food and service were among the best we'd experienced in Sicily: swordfish parmigiana (especially nice), small cod with tomatoes and lives, and pannacotta, all delicious.
We had a delicious dinner in this hidden gem off the busy street. We had pasta with mussels and pasta with prawns. Both were excellent. The white wine was from a local winery and very good. Antonio is the chef owner. Highly recommend this lime...tree garden restaurant.More
I was charged €60 for a plate of sea bream. I’ve never paid so much for so little in Sicily. It has to be because I’m a tourist because no Sicilian would dream of paying such ridiculous prices. What a shame. My gnocchi was delicious,...my wine was awful. Beautiful atmosphere tainted by day light robbery!More
My friend and I were here in Taormina for only 2 nights, and I asked our hotel for a VERY NICE ROMANTIC restaurant. They recommended this place, which was actually highly rated on TripAdvisor. Please Read On ... we made a reservation on July 10th...and we arrived about 10 minutes late because it is VERY difficult to find, even though we asked several nearby shopkeepers for directions. When we arrived, we stood alone for a couple of minutes until we were finally greeted by one of the waiters and seated. We were then virtually ignored! NO MENUS, NO DRINK ORDER, NOTHING ! At that point, we should have just gotten up and left! Everything went downhill from there! There were a couple of newlywed Brits seated next to us and he was VERY agitated at the total lack of service. We waited, waited and waited for each course to arrive ... and had to flag down anyone and everyone for any service. I hesitate to give a restaurant such a poor review, because I operated restaurants for 35 years ... including the #1 restaurant in Boston for 10+ years, but, even though they were well aware of their service problems, they did not even have the common professional courtesy to apologize, offer a coffee or dessert ... NOTHING! PLEASE ... This Place is VERY Over-Rated & Does not Deserve Your Patronage!More
Went to this restaurant following a recommendation from someone in our hotel. They catered for the evening exceptionally well considering there was no running water in Taomina. Service and food was very good. I had the stuffed chicken which was very flavoursome. Love that you...can see the kitchen from the restaurant. Lovely setting too. The pineapple desert I was was fabulous - didn’t want it to end. Highly recommendMore
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The restaurant is set in a beautiful, quiet outdoor space - it felt quite magical. Good selection of food and wine. All of our dishes were absolutely delicious. It was fun watching them being cooked in the outside kitchen....We'd highly recommend eating here.More
We have been extremely impressed for the last two weeks in Italy by the amazing 'allergen lists'. Every restaurant uses the same standard and it has been excellent for us with our two teenagers with nut allergies. This restaurant was the only one in our...two week trip, where we ate out at every meal, not to have the allergens listed. We should have known better. We informed the gentleman that took our order about our allergies. "No problem everything is fine" From the first bite our daughter told us there were nuts in her appetizer. We called the manager over and he spent the next five minutes telling us it was impossible. We just wanted to get our daughter out of the restaurant as fast as we could but although we were very calm he became quite irritated and continued to tell us that we were wrong. We paid and left. Our daughter went into anaphylactic shock and we spent a very difficult night with her. Yes the setting is lovely but if you have food allergies avoid this restaurant, there are plenty of others that take this issue much more seriously.More
We stumbled upon this wonderful garden restaurant during a hot afternoon in June and when approached by a waitress to ask if we wanted to eat lunch (we had already eaten lunch) asked if we could have just a gelato. She agreed and showed us...to a lovely shady table under the citrus trees. We ordered our gelato but before it came another waiter took her to task about the fact we weren’t eating lunch and was very grumpy and rude when he brought our food. This despite the restaurant being less than 1/4 full even though it was around 2pm. We paid our bill of 25euros including cover charge and a bottle of mineral water and if it weren’t for this waiter’s rude attitude we would have booked a table for dinner. Their loss.More
One of our favorite dinners in Sicily! Why this place is not ranked in the top 5, we have no idea? The setting is unbeatable. You are sitting amongst beautiful gardens off of a quiet street. It is incredibly romantic. Now for the best part...….the food! The owner personally greets you and discusses the menu. He could not be more charming and engaging. He brought out the catch of the day and the lobster to show us how fresh. We had the blue lobster with homemade pasta and an exquisite pasta dish with shrimps and pistachio cream. Both dishes were outstanding. The desserts were to die for. Thankfully, we tried two, and they were equally outstanding. Do not miss this magical experience in Taormina!!More
My family and I visited this restaurant while on a 7 day Greek cruise with Royal Caribbean during a day trip excursion to Taormina. Our guide suggested the location and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service was great. My husband...and I split a pasta dish and my son had the prawns with spinach. We ordered 2 Limoncello drinks, but never received them and was charged for them on the bill, but the charges were taken off without incident.More
Lovely setting and fresh fish. Got off to a good start but then went downhill. Fish served on cold plates soon cooled down. Indifferent staff made this costly meal a bad experience. We waited roughly 20 minutes for our bill to be paid. Expensive poorly...run restaurant.More
The fish is in a class by itself- carefully brought to the table so you can confirm it is fresh. My wife had the black pig tenderloin- also excellent. The boss keeps an eye on everything. Located near the top of the steps to the...theater- it is a huge outdoor courtyard- bright and cheery. We enjoyed !!More
Friendly staff, amazing food, we hade amberjack fish, fresh catch off the day. Short waiting time for the food, the staff well organized. Definitely we will come back!
