The scrimp sandwich was fresh and delicious 👍. Service was also good. There is nothing to complain about this bar/lunchroom.

Unexpected meal, we had booked another restaurant , however, on arriving, it was closed! Bee was across the road and looked very pretty, so we gave it a bash! The staff were so friendly, the service was great and they were incredibly helpful. We both...had beef cheeks.. wonderful mix and explosion of flavours! I then had deep-fried brioche, with vanilla ice cream and banana foam. Small but perfectly formed and a very unusual mix of sweet and savoury that worked really well. My partner chose to have a small bite instead of a desert and had pork, which he said was another taste sensation! We would definitely visit againMore
Great cocktails and vibes. Super nice bar tender made me his favorite drink and was super nice. They even have a coat check and disco ball
Ended up eating here during a rainy day. We ate outside despite that and that was maybe not the best choice. It was a bit chilly and the curtains were not really reparing fully from the rain. The menu was quite limited to classical pub...dishes and we all ended up eating a hamburger. The burger was just quite alright, but nothing I will remember as special. I have a memory that the stuff was not exactly top friendly but it can be something else. All together, although the location is quite central, a decent experience but a bit odd due to the rain and not a place I would strive to go back for the food.More
Getting no service within 20 minutes while everyone around is serviced within 5 minutes feels so exceptional 👎 Ignoring a regular customer is definitely a way to improve customer loyalty.
The menu is well assorted and the offer diverse in both food and drink. The ambiance is pleasant and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Service is of quality and wait times reasonable for a summer Sunday evening.
Lovely atmosphere, very welcoming staff, different selection of wines than usual and last but not least wonderful food! Just a happy place to hang out and enjoy 🥰
This is not for all vegans as they admitted to our surprise. There was only one vegetarian choice on the menu but they said they did a vegan burger without the cheese and mayo. This burger turned out to be texturised vegetable protein which does...not appeal to a vegan who does not want to eat a pretend meat product but also, it will have been bought in and prepared from frozen which you really do not expect from an award-winning restaurant. Our burger was left after one bite and they still charged full price.More
Traditional Swedish food for a reasonable price. They have meatball, minced beef, fried fish patty, etc at 99sek, very reasonable price. You sit sit on the side with tables or at the bar area. Portions are big and the meatball can be seen stuffed with...breadcrumbs and onions and yet it’s soft. Service is good. I like the flowers places around that makes the place a bit more elegant than street food setting.More
Already with its ideal location in the city centre, attached to the Saluhallen market hall and on pedestrian, cobblestoned Kungstorget street with several other restaurants, this place seems to be very popular and people were queuing up to get a seat at one of the...outdoor tables. Placed at a table for two I enjoyed a very friendly and professional service by a young lady, who always had a smile on her face, despite being incredibly busy. I had just arrived at Gothenburg and felt a bit hungry, so I ordered a shrimp based starter, called 'Bee on Sea', remembering the typical Swedish 'Toast Skagen' from previous visits. This speciality though was a creamy mixture of shrimp, salmon, herbs, onions, topped by fish roe and served on hash brown. It was good. As a main course I had asked for another shrimp dish, having been carried away by the restaurant's comment 'It's famous in town!' It was a 'Giant Shrimp Sandwich' on rye bread, with plenty of mayo on the side, also a hard boiled egg in halves and pickled red onions. The amount was far too much, especially after a starter, and I was forced to leave quite a bit of it. To drink I had some of their Chilean housewine and at the end I asked for a Swedish spirit together with the espresso. They had nothing Swedish on their drink card, but then the waitress came with a glass of O.P.Anderson akvavit, thus a famous product of Gothenburg. I knew that one doesn't drink it like an Italian grappa after a meal, more with it, but I still enjoyed the nicely spiced aquavit.More
Great place for a drink and an informal meal with friends. Good food on a menu that changes fairly regularly. Also some very good bartenders if you are in the mood for a cocktail. Nice and informal service that will make sure you don’t need...to wait for your food or drinkMore
Fantastic service and great food. Arriving quite late our company of 8 was welcomed with warmth, friendliness and a glimpse in the eye by a couple of incredibly nice and service-minded guys. After ordering the food was served fairly quick and the quality was amazing....Everything homemade and really nice presented. We enjoyed the visit so much that we came back every day the next 2 days. Especially thanks to the Scotsman! 😃More
We had lunch at Bee Kök & Bar on a Saturday in February. The atmosphere was great, even though a bit too crowded, and almost no covid measures... (we were too many people in there bearing in mind the pandemic, and at the entrance it...was to be read that they asked for the covidpass, which they didn't). Food was okay, I ordered the classic hamburger and my man ordered the pasta polätta.More
We found Bee by chance, as the restaurants we had looked at was full. But it was a good second option, great atmosphere, good food and a very friendly service. We would gladly come back.
The location being very central and in a historic building, the completion and expectations are high. And while the prices are fair, the quality just doesn’t hit home. And while the staff is very friendly, it isn’t enough to make up the shortfalls. The kebab...platter they serve should probably be at least 20kr cheaper than it is, considering the quality. The meat is not freshly sliced from a spit. It is cold and taken from a small plastic box and reheated. The fries are the cheapest variety and dumped straight from the bag. Unfortunately the portion size isn’t generous either, which is surprising considering the cheap ingredients and the markup. There are many other places where you can get an excellent platter, or other dishes for a similar price. Considering the wide variety of options in Saluhallen, I unfortunately cannot recommend this place.More
