Best restaurant we found in Chioggia. Very much better than any others. Nice staff & very fair prices.
Best restaurant we found in Chioggia. Very much better than any others. Nice staff & very fair prices.
Please avoid. They don't speak English and their menu is confusing. We got ourselves a spaghetti with mussles for 20 eur, and according to the menu it was a dish for 2 persons. At the end it turned out that the dish in fact costed...40 EUR end they expected the customer to multiply the price in the menu by 2 to get the real price. There is nothing worse in a Restaurant than such cheap tricks.More
They were very kind but the food was not that good it could be better for the price it wasnt worth it. But the fish in the mixed grill plate was great and spaghetti ala vongola was a little bit salty but it was ok
We are a family of 5 having road trip with the kids through north of Italy. The hostess or owner (not sure) immediately withdrawn any attempt to be helpful when she realized we could not speak italian (although i mention in my very limited one...that i can understand , if at least she would speak slowly) By the way we can speak portuguese , spanish, french and English fluently, neither of this was an option for her. ( but faire enough we are in italy after all) Its a seafood /fish restaurant and We were trying to understand which course was with sea food , fish (with the bones) or squids , sepias etc. She showed no interest to be helpful , actually she seamed annoyed by us more than anything. At the second attempt she finally could take our order. We really felt like walking away for the rude and unwelcoming exchange, But drinks were already in. By that point we were so disgusted by the all situation that we didn’t even felt like trying something different from the menu, neither starters or first and second ( we just wanted to get it over it and go) We end up ordering some oysters and fried seafood/fish, that we shared between the 2 of us. Oysters were actually very good , although smaller than the ones on the Atlantic or pacific coast , but were an explosion of taste. The fried seafood was proper and besides some sardines it had some red fish as well (that I didn’t dare to ask what it was) Kids had 2 portions of grilled sea bass. 1 arrived, the second arrived like 10 min later. Not the type of service Matching the pretentiousness of the place . Sea bass was ok though. Bottom line , the food is ok. The service was appalling, at least for non speaking italian people like us.More
Wonderful welcome and service. The food was extremely tasty. Finally I ate food with a real Italian taste that missed me so much. We was really happy that we found this restorant. Thanks to everyone for feeling the magic of delicious Italian food again. See...you soon.More
A perfect mixture of hospitality and authentic, creative and tasty dishes. Two times in 4 days - what tells more? We liked everything and enjoyed our visits. The young lady with energy and charming knowledge how to sell and explain, the chef, the kitchen, the...speed and welcoming way to serve the costumers. Very fresh seafood, everything but boring, creative but authentic, best way to show how fresh seafood can delight. My recommandation for chioggia.More
We were attracted by the good reviews, but found the food disappointing. The service was OK, but nothing special. Also they did not have any vegatarian options.
Very nice fish restaurant with high quality raw dishes. Also the starter octopus with pate of potatoes was supper tasty. Staff is very gentile, position in city center. Better to book as it’s generally full. Prices are standard.
We went to this restaurant because one of us had an ok meal there some time ago. The food was ok, although really not worth the price. The service was awful. Finally we paid 85 euro, which I consider a considerable amount, and the guy...did not even provide us with a fiscal receipt. Meaning: he didn't pay taxes on this money. I am really sad, as italian and Chioggia lover, for the horrible image that this place is giving to the unlucky guests.More
We came to dine in the evening, ordered half carafe of white wine got 250 ml instead. I ordered ravioli and got mixed grilled fisj instead. The food was good but the fact that even when asked the staff carried on ignoring you is really...poor. You can write it off to language barrier but I wouldn't this time. We were also charged for 500 ml carafe and had to specifically ask to change it in the bill. I still don't know why my seafood ravioli dish which costed 15 euros was replaced by mixed fish grill which costed 20 euros. Even if the food was good I leave poor review as I don't like when someone else makes dinner choices for me and pretends they haven't done it.More
Want to taste local food and fresh fish, this is the right place. The recipes are done with fantasy and with the right taste. Good balance price quality
Chioggia is not a popular tourist town, but we enjoyed eating with the locals in this fine restaurant specializing in seafood. Both the service and the food was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal!
We tried only fish meals and one better than the other. Local and fresh. I would recommend to try to reserve a table outside! Its a quiet cobble stone street direct to a Venetian style water canal.
Had for my second time a meal in this nice place... Was not bad... But nothing excellent... Could be more attractive.... I'm more used to places that for some reason they let you try more dishes for that price!!!
I’m usually tolerant of the occasional bad service, but our meal was spoiled by a single, but serious, problem: they misjudged the time needed to bake my son’s fish, to such an extent that we had all finished before he was even served. That apart,...the remainder of the meal was excellent. A delicious ‘amuse bouche’; and we all had excellent fresh fish or pasta dishes, and good desserts. Overall, this place is a cut above the usual tourist fare.More
