We visited this restaurant already 4 times, we came especialy from Israel after booking about 6 month in advance, we were 3 couples and we enjoied every time again and again, not only because of the very tasty food but the friendly atmosfare and the...hospitality. , We've already made a new reservation for January 2017,More
We've been here 4 times. The owner is a very nice man, great character. The food is chosen for you, mostly seafood, and is a great selection. The table is yours for the night, and it is great to linger on in eating, conversation and...follow up with digestivos. It's a small, cramped, wonderful experience.More
I donot want to be to enthousiastic about this restaurant as it is really excellent fresh food, top quality for a great price but...........they have only 36 seats, so there is a waitinglist for month. Also the owner Giancarlo advice you the perfect wine with...the meals and the wine are "normal" prices , with 10-15 euro you have a good White bolgari or montecarlo. antipasti, paste, main dish, deserts & (hausebrand) coffee, all goodMore
We went here for lunch. The restaurant was almost full, but we got ourselves a table. Very friendly staff, great owner, speaks English well and gives his attention to all tables. The food is good and the prices are friendly. Great place to go to...with children as well. We would definitely come back here again.More
we were taken here by an Italian friend. Its a small restaurant with one sitting per night and bookings have to be made months in advance and for Saturdays a year! however if you phone they may have a cancellation! this is a fish restaurant...with 10 tasting starters served sequentially, followed by 3 'pasta' courses, a main course and a desert!. what is served depends on what is available on the day and the food is served with clever twists on cooking and presenting the food. Wine is included in the price including a sweet wine with desert all for €35! the maitre d' has a strong resemblance to the late actor Alan Bates and his small troupe of staff cook and serve the food with style. this is a must if you visit this part of Italy.More
Tried this restaurant on our first night in Viareggio but couldn't get a table until the following Sunday- it is a small restaurant and very popular!! Arriving the following Sunday we were surprised not to be given a menu to peruse and then realised that...it was to be a set meal which consisted of lots of different fish courses. I was worried as I don't eat shellfish but I needn't have worried as they catered for me beautifully and my partner and I both had a wonderful meal. I am not sure if it is just on Sundays that they do a set menu? We loved the experience of this lively little restaurant and would recommend booking.More
turned on the nearby places and got this one great food would definitely recommend it closed at 14:00 so don't miss it
Really worth booking in advance. We were delighted to get a table for two for the Saturday night of our stay. Had a really memorable and truly delicious meal, with wonderful wine and a fantastic atmosphere. The restaurant kindly prepared gluten free versions of each...course for me and although the very welcoming and friendly owners don't speak much English the couple next to us took it upon themselves to translate each course for us. You're really lucky if you get a table, there were booking diaries stretching as far ahead as 2017 when we went!More
Turned up by chance and we were fitted in within half an hour however we would suggest that you book I think we were lucky, the food and atmosphere here is great big portions so be warned fish stew fully of all sorts of tasty...fish ,we also ordered pasta and that was a homemade delight ,service fantastic & made to feel welcome.More
Little and nice place. Only 35 seats. Only fish. 12 to 15 little starters with good white wine just to begin. Then they proposes 6-7 different first wonderful dishes (pasta) . Usually we select 2-3 different tastes. Then you can chose among 2 or 3...second dishes , usually steam cooked fishes. The final is with their excellent desserts made by them and served with some sweet wine (usually from Southern Italy). If you like you can ask for a liquor:they have an incredible selection: grappas , rhum , whiskeys and so on..... Currently the price is fix (35Euro) but don't hope to book a place. 2013 is already fully booked and they don't yet take bookings for 2014. I have some reservation in 2013 , booked in february 2012 !!!More
What a wonderfull experience, Fish all the way an no meat but everything was delicious. We arrived not quite knowing what to expect but we left knowing we definately want to return. Value for money dosen't do it justice, we ate all evening and had...3 bottles of Prosecco and the best fish & pasta dishes I've ever tasted for only 35 euros per person. Book early though as this place is only small, gets very busy and is fully of locals. Take your phrase book as they don't speak English but we had great fun with the staff with my pigeon Italian and their pigeon English. All part of the atmosphere!!!More
We can just confirm all the beautiful words spent on this spot here on TripAdvisor. My girlfriend and I went there for my birthday dinner and the experience was amazing. Its a small seafood restaurant (more or less forty seats) and we've been able to...reserve a table a day before; take care it usually it takes more than one month if you are more than two people. Their typical menu consists in a taste of ten starters of their choice ( tiny portions of the daily fresh seafood cooked in different ways) and then you choose a la carte menu. They have a vast variety of great Italian and French wines, we had Grecanico (Mandrarossa) excellent choice. I had fresh home made Tagliatelle with pachino tomatoes, zucchini and squids, while my girlfriend went for a fish fry (squids, sardines, octopus, shrimps), spectacular. Please note they use new oil for every new fry. We ended up with a taste of four different home made cookies and cakes, served with iced Passito (Brisi) and espresso coffee. The service is excellent, fast and very kind; plus the owner personally advise you and explain dishes and wine combination, taking you through the whole dining experience. The atmosphere resambles an old italian trattoria, quite friendly and informal. Free Wireless connection available. 35 € per person all inclusive. We will definetely return!More
