Delicious fresh clean Cantonese dishes. Cool place. French waiter. We had pork belly, seafood with ginger and scallions, a few dumplings and some sautéed green veg. Very nice lunch. Next time I’m in Sydney I’d come back with a group and try more.

Recommended by our hotel concierge, Mr. Wong is a bustling hot spot in an old warehouse down an alley. It's a Sydney legendary eatery with fabulous food. The menu is massive. Highly recommend the prawn wonton soup, dim sum platter, Peking duck pancakes and stir...fried vegetables. It was A LOT of food for just the two of us, but all delicious. Service was prompt and attentive notwithstanding how busy they were.More

What a lovely experience we had at this fun restaurant. The food was amazing… don’t miss the Peking Duck! And fried ice cream desert. But the service is what made it the best. A loud group of standing friends encircled the table next to us...and the restaurant staff was very quick to realize how noisy it became and asked them to move away. And then apologized. To us. Our waitress, lily, was so helpful in helping us make our food choices and also selected a great wine. The atmosphere is very interesting too. Highly recommend!More

Our third visit to Mr Wong in Sydney. Previously we have loved this restaurant for its great food and chaotic atmosphere. Sadly on our latest visit the only wow factor was the bill. It feels like the prices have jumped 30-40% making it crazy expensive....We had a banquet which was just ok. No more Mr Wong for usMore

Service: mixed feelings about this one Food: good Atmosphere: fantastic, we loved it Location: good Price: too expensive for what you get Wifi: unknown A bit of mixed feelings about this place. We arrived without a reservation. The hostess told us she could put us...on the list. All that went very smooth. Once we could get a table there was a bit confusion on where we would sit. Then our waiter was a bit pushy with things and had a little attitude. The food was good, but came a bit in haste.More

Staff were pleasant and food was tasty as usual but the noise from the band playing next door at Palmer and Co was annoying, the door could have been shut, bad enough the acoustics are not the best here ! Finished dishes were left uncleared...on the tiny table before the next course arrived. Please accept my honest feedback Mr WongMore

one of the worst dining experiences I've had in sydney. when it first opened Mr wong served excellent chinese food at a reasonable cost. This time the food was totally below par. the duck pancake's had been reheated in a microwave. the fried rice was...cold and inedible. the waiters had attitude and tried to push a $70 bottle of wine and claiming there was no other choice, They also had no knowledge of the wine they were serving. The pork ribs were tough and chewy and also inedible. At a cost of $395 for three people I felt TOTALLY RIPPED OF. as a tour guide I most certainly will no longer recommend Mr Wong. It was a clue when there were no Chinese Diners at all that night in the restaurant.More

First out of the gate, secure a reservation as this place is packed daily. We got a table two nights after first visiting g a worth the wait. Great vibe with all the dinners. You can watch the chefs in action with rows of duck...waiting to be prepared. Portions are very generous so think about how much food will be delivered. Started with the cold chicken starter which had amble amounts of heat. They a massive plate of shrimp fried rice arrived to compliment a shrimp platter, kung pao chicken and beef cubes. This for 4 people! Perhaps the best Chinese food I have ever had. Make and effort to eat here.More

Quite disappointed. Great ambience and service but the main dish of lamb chops was overcooked and very over salted. Had high expectations but didn't meet.

Thé place is well known for the locals but not easy to find in a small place . Perfect welcome in a very large very busy very noisy restaurant with a vast open kitchen and many tables … As in any Chinese restaurant there a...large selection of entrees mains soups etc with a significant emphasis on seafood The food comes quickly and is excellent spicy but not too much. Large selection of wines including by the glass to accommodate all wishes. The only drawback of this place in my view is the noise level which conversation difficult at the table.More

I am prepared to call Best Restaurant in Sydney. We have eaten at Mr Wong many times over the years as well as many other casual and fine dining spots (finances permitting). While the food is our main consideration the service keeps getting better. The...wine list caters for all including us old school chardy lovers. Today a (annoying) slight took an entree off our bill (not asked for but appreciated nonetheless). Go Mr Wong.More

Everyone said we must visit Mr Wongs. Our server, Ore was animated and most helpful in helping us choose from the wide variety on the menu. We started with a variety of dim sum, follow by fried rice, beef with mushrooms, scallops with calamari and...shrimp. Everything was good but not outstanding. I couldn’t understand what the hype was about. Maybe I am missing something.More

Mr Wong has quite a number of stairs so may not be ideal. However, best to check with the restaurant.
