Located near the entrance to Clare and adjacent to Greg Cooley Wines. A nice little bakery with a great selection of breads, cakes etc. Coffee is OK as well (unusual for a bakery). Good service and good location.
Our review may be influenced by having visited other bakeries in the Clare region that were just so much better. In case that is unfair to Clare Rise Bakery we have given it an average rating, although we might normally have rated it as poor....Firstly extremely poor customer service through lack of communication between staff. We finished our lunch but our ordered drinks had still not arrived. Person who took our paid for order had not communicated with the barrista. They were then freshly made but despite requesting extra hot, they were colder than regulation coffee temperature. The lovely outside deck area was extremely untidy - food scraps everywhere and tables not cleaned even though there were very few customers on the deck and none inside. Finally the choice of cakes and pastries was much more limited than would be expected in a tourist Mecca bakery.More
Food = good. Service and presentation = not good. The sausage roll was actually FANTASTIC! So thats really what gets the points here. Others in our group enjoyed the Chicken and Riesling pie - very Clare Valley so quite good fun!!! Unfortunately the really lovely...bakery items were yanked down several notches in our opinions by two aspects: When ordering the more experienced staff member went away from the counter to answer the phone and got held up on a call so the place just ground to a halt. Everyone just stood there looking at the younger person whilst she couldn’t do too much to keep up the service! The real issue: outside in the seating area it was just TERRIBLE - rubbish bins completely overflowing. Ugh.More
Not alot to choose from but the pies/ sausage rolls were great and the vanilla slice was delicious. Well worth the stop to get one.
Great bakery, great service. Many things to choose. Great stop if you are doing the Riesling Trail by bike (as it isn't far off the trail)
Shop is relatively small and with a few people waiting, the services from staff really is poor. One unable to work coffee and the other unable to sort the money. The food looks very appealing, gravy is nice but the pastry is not good. Very...doughy. Coffee temperature overly hot.More
The baker went out of his way to ensure we had our pie order. He took the order and worked past closing time to ensure it was baked. We collected it when it was still hot from the oven. It was a delicious pie on...eating. Thank YouMore
We had a beautiful breakfast here. Because it was so cold we opted for pasties which is strange but we just fancied them Great coffee too
Stopped for a quick bite, no toilets open sent to the servo. Most unfriendly staff pasty was good pie was OK cheesecake came out of a packet not worth the time getting out the car
This little bakery in our town, is awesome. It's within walking distance, if you're staying in the caravan park, and also the service station. It's also perfect if you're coming into town, leaving town, or just wanting to chill out on their verandah. The parking...is awesome. In winter, their are cafe blinds, and wall heaters. In summer, it's always cool under their verandah, with a great view. If you like wine, there is a little wine boutique next door, so thats a win win!! . Family orientated bakery, with great customer service. Don't know why I have not written a review, until today, till I took a bite of this curd cronut with cheesecake filling. Sorry about the bite taken out of it. Its what made me remember to recommend this place!More
Group of friends similar ideas motorcycle. Traveling to Laura for the weekend. Time for a quick food stop off and fuel. Great. Best custard I have tasted in a croissant, the little sausage roll and another latte. Cheers Peter Beachy
Last minute morning tea for work, raced down about 10am to collect some items.Plenty to choose from, and wanted a mix of hot and cold. Made my selection and was a little surprise with the total to pay. Was happy with the items and the...freshness.More
Called in for a coffee and to sit outside and enjoy the view. The coffee was ok and the selection of freshly baked breads was great. Also heaps of tempting pastries too. The almond croissant was tasty and different with a custard centre. Great section...of pies too.More
We love the food here! It would have to be one of the best bakery’s in this area. Make sure you try the vanilla slice. So good!!!
