Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My friend in Beijing recommended this place to meet up. It's kind of fusion Beijing food. The Beking Duck is very good. Other dishes are good as well. They surprise us with a piece of cake and wrote a meaningful word. Great place to catch...up with friends.More

outside dining on a nice summer evening gets a new meaning @wish in Beijing. Superb quality food, extensive choices for all tastes, very friendly service. You can bring your own wine with a very reasonable fee (CNY 20 per person)

After being recommended this restaurant and having a last meal with our friends, before we were to all fly back to Australia the following day, it was disappointing to say the least that we all got food poisoning. This was the last place that we...all ate together, and said our goodbyes. We flew different times and airlines, a coincidence I think not! One couple had to stop over in Singapore and seek medical treatment, and delay their return home, whilst I was unfortunate enough to not quite make the toilets and was sick all over my clothes. Fortunately the airline was able to provide me with some PJs but the discomfort and embarrassment made for a long trip home. Hopefully this is not a regular occurrence.More

We had a great time at Wish. Their menu is diverse and meat-heavy so we had to choose wisely to avoid over ordering. Half way through a live two-piece act started, pianist and saxophonist. Very intimate atmosphere.

We visited wish after seeing it on trip adviser, it was a short walk from our hotel. We sat outside in the very tranquil and well presented garden area. In short the restaurant was without fault. It has an extensive menu ranging in price not...expensive for what is superb quality food. We had Peking Duck shared between two which was just right. Other dishes were Kung Pau Chicken and a curry chicken in a cob bread, both dishes received a huge tick of approval, then came deserts which were equally as good quality and extremely well presented. The staff were excellent and the service was first class. A must visit if you are in Beijing. We were provided with two boxes of macaroons as a gift after our meal as well as a complimentary desert. 10/10More

Love this restaurant! It is fantastic. The food is supurb and different from the rest of Beijing. Calm, quiet and beautiful is how I would describe Wish.

This high end restaurant offers an impressive selection of food, several regional Chinese cuisines, served in a tranquil atmosphere. Definitely the best restaurant at which I dined during a 10-day trip to China.

A good place for chatting with good service, but the food is not that satisfactory. The creativity are mostly embodied in the plates not in the food.

I had an awesome meal here along with office colleagues. Some very authentic Beijing dishes and some interesting twists on other Chinese food. The Beijing Duck , Meat Balls , Spicy prawns and Aubergine were outstanding. The tender pork ribs were very good too

This place has a beautiful atmosphere and was great. They have indoor and outdoor seating, the waiter spook some english, food was great. We tried a variety of different Chinese things and liked it all. They also had some European style pastas etc for people...who would prefer western food. The cocktails were great, didn't expect this after a few strange ones I had before in other places in Beijing. Great place to go for dinner with friends, family or coworkersMore

This is my repeat visit to Wish located near Lido area. It was crowded as usual and reservations are recommended. We ordered the sea cucumber in clear chicken broth to start. The Peking duck was regular. The steam fish was typical Chinese style in light...soya sauce. The sauté vegetable with pork lard was yummy. We brought our own red wine and it compliments the Peking duck as usual. We were served complimentary fruits at the end of the meal. The ambience was nice with a solo singer in attendance. This is not your usual Chinese restaurant and has nice modern decor. The meal was not cheap by any standard and I would not return anytime soon as I felt that the value proposition was not there.More

Nice upbeat Asian-fusion restaurant with choice of tables inside or outside in the courtyard. I originally ordered Peking Duck and was told it would take more than one and a half hour to be served so I changed my order to something quicker. Very disappointing....Ended up ordering 2 different types of shrimp and seafood pasta which was delicious. Only a couple of people on the staff speak English, however English menus are available.More

We fancied a treat on our last night in Beijing so we came here. The restaurant isn't exactly cheap but the food however is really great! The reason I'm only giving it 4 out of 5 is because 3 things on the menu that my...partner ordered were unavailable or there was going to be an hour wait which was unacceptable for us as we had plans. The menus come with pictures of all the food which is helpful if you are new to Chinese cuisine. We were put in a booth with sheer curtains which was nice and gave us some privacy. When you are ready to order you press the buzzer on your table. We thought this was great as it took some time to go through the menus and decide. We only got given one menu to share so it can take some time. I can highly recommend the spinach noodles and the chicken - sorry I can't be more precise with the name of the chicken dish but check out the picture. This was our favourite dish - so tasty!More
