The food wasn't bad but the service was sub sub par at the best. No service and they three away my to go box after 5 minutes, seriously way to screw up a dining experience.

After playing phone tag repeatedly with the owner to arrange a club Christmas party, I thought I had all of the details worked out. It turns out that the staff was ill-informed and woefully unprepared for our group. We were supposed to start arriving at...6pm, staff had been told 6:30. Thankfully, some of us arrived before 6pm to make sure everything was in order. Which we quickly found out it wasn't. The room we were in was closed off and the heat was either off or at a very low setting as the room temp was probably in the high 40s or low 50s. I understand why the room was closed off and not heated but to not have the timing laid out for staff so they know when to turn up the heat wasn't a good thing. The tables were bare short of hastily thrown together centerpieces of small pine wreaths surrounding square candle holders with tea lights which were never lit. No silverware set out. A paper menu with no appetizers was brought to us but when I set up our event with the owner I was assured that we would be able to order appetizers as well as a steak of some sort. The manager on duty worked with us on this point and was also kind enough to include the evenings special. I had also informed the owner that we were expecting 25 to 35 members at the party but he only had one waitress for our party. She called a waitress who was off to come in to help her and thankfully she was able to do so. Meanwhile, there was a second party out in the main dining room so the staff struggled to keep up with drink/food orders. I helped out by grabbing silverware and menus and trying to support wait staff anyway I could. The owner may not have correctly conveyed information but at least he was savvy enough to hire staff that is competent. The staff did as well as they could with the lack of information they had apparently received. When I arranged the party, I was informed we needed to spend a minimum of $250 which we did. In fact, I would say our group of 25 people probably spent at least double that. Our group will be having a Christmas party next year but I'm sure we won't be having it at Jilly's.More
Went for lunch buffet on Sunday. Food was very poor quality and cold. The beef brisket had been out for a long time and a slight spoil taste. I do not recommend this place.
the steak was good and reasonable. service good, clean and friendly. I recommend this restaurant. I will return.
We arrived around 5pm on Saturday for an early dinner. Ordered toasted cannelloni for an appetizer they were very good, we ordered our food, husband ordered ribeye, baked potato and caesar salad, I ordered jamaican jerk chicken, baked potato and house salad. Great salads dressings...were good. Our main course arrives and the disappointment follows. Baked potatoes were not done, hard in the middle. After the waitress finally reappears she takes the potatoes back and when she brings them back, still not done. I opted for mashed. Which were ok. Husband's rib eye was more fat than meat. We won't be back don't know how this place got a good rating. And to top it off, there were only 2 other tables. No excuse for the poor service or quality of food.More
Jilly's is quite different from any other place we have eaten. On a few occasions we have gone there on a Sunday after church. We have walked in and it's nearly always deserted, we've seldom been greeted by anyone. There has been times that we...literally had to walk over to the bar side of the restaurant to locate an employee to seat us. The food is decent, but not outstanding and a little pricey. The service is usually slow. Once we stopped by for lunch and there was a birthday party or baby shower going on in the private party room. We were totally ignored and was never greeted or seated, so we walked out and went down the street to Pasta House.More
The food is always hot and the beer is cold. Love watching the game and have a beverage or two. Bar food or dinner menu... Great place to hold your celebration.
This was just okay. Service was slow and a little pricier than expected for the area. They seated us right next to a room that was having some kind of family gathering, and was Extremely Loud. Yet the place was pretty much empty outside of...this family gathering and not sure why they seated us where they did.More
We live in High Ridge and decided to try Jilly’s for date night. I got the ribeye and my husband got the filet. They were both really good, well cooked and flavorful. The service was very sweet. Overall it was a really good visit.
Ate on dining side, steak medalists perfect, Cobb salad great, pizza average. Service ruined it..... Drinks from bar slow, 30 minutes before a salad arrived...not away to stay in business. If you have all the time in world stop in for dinner, there was only...six others in a large roomMore
We came to Jillys for our board meeting and the servers we had for our visit were Great! They were attentive and on top of our group. The food was great as always. Thank you for providing us with the location for our meeting!
Large portions of great food. Tasty and served fresh from the kitchen. Surprisingly large space. Outdoor seating area as well, although not recommended in the winter. Service was excellent. From suggestions which were off the menu (at lunch no less) to insuring our drinks were...full it was a very nice lunch. Recommend.More
My wife and I used to frequent Jilly's, as it is close by and the food was always great and the service very personal. The owners recently decided to sell the business and after just having had dinner there, I can safely say it's gone...way downhill with the new ownership. The new owners held an event to drum up business so there were hundreds of people nearby. Sadly they didn't staff the restaurant to handle the volume (of which they knew since it was advertised on Facebook). The host said they were full and couldn't seat our party or 8 but there were 3 tables large enough to seat us, so we seated ourselves. It then took 45 minutes for someone to come by and give us menus. And then another 30 to take drink orders. A glass of wine came first 20 minutes after taking the drink order and the glasses of water 10 minutes after that. When we finally got our food, the pizzas were terrible. Undercooked store bought crust, the bacon was under cooked, and you could tell that the green pepper was added after it was cooked. I've eaten 3 day old gas station pizza that tastes better. All this was happening as we witnessed at least a dozen tables get fed up and walk out. A table next to us was complaining to a waitress that their potato and chili were so cold the butter and cheese wouldn't melt. Combine the sub-par food with the wait service that was understaffed and acting like it was their first day on the job (they were just bringing dishes out and going table to table asking whose it was) and you get what was the worst restaurant experience of my life. I wish the new owners luck in turning this around, but we will never be returning.More
The Reuben sandwich with seasoned fries is delicious. My husband and I will share it next time as it's so big...then we can get dessert! Ryan is an excellent server!
If I wanted to go out with my wife and have a few drinks and hang out Jillys looks like it could fit the bill. I even told my wife that I’d like to go back sometime to do just that. However, this trip we...were dining for lunch. I ordered ribs which was a big mistake. They tasted like they were day old and reheated. My wife ordered pasta which also underwhelmed and we had a very average shrimp appetizer. The sides, entree, and appetizer were all very average to below average.More
