Stopped in for lunch. The food was fantastic, the service was great and the prices were very reasonable. We sat outside and enjoyed watching the children prepare for an event at the museum.

Great restaurant in Certaldo Alto. Brilliant wine as well as meal. The cheeseplate is fantastic, so is the onion jam.
I recently had lunch here with my husband. The food was good, the service was great and the prices were cheap. They also have great views if you sit outside.
Excelent "pici con salsiccia, tartufo...". Good house wine. Good reception. Low prices. We recommend this address
Great enviorment, excellent staff, the waitresses are very polite and helpful, and the food... Pasta and "pici" are the best we have tried during our stay in Toscany :) Well done! :)
On a cloudy, slightly wet Boccaccesca my wife and I sat down outside for something warming, and ordered bowls of carabaccia. My. For us, onion soup has been redefined. We even bought some of the local red onions to try our own version back in...Florence. Our service was fine, and the wine recommendations good. We didn’t try anything else (nor use the bathroom :-) so can’t comment. The carabaccia, though...More
Salami and cheese nothing exceptional to be in Tuscany, good wine prices, service improvement, local a little ox, let's say you can find better around here.
This is a small restaurant with limited options but tasteful food. No need to book in advance but the space is limited. Prices are not too high.
The food at this restaurant was among the best we had in all of Tuscany. The local specialties were great. The soup and the blood-pudding were excellent. HOWEVER, the toilets were AWFUL, ill-equipped and filthy! What a terrible contrast.
Stopped here for lunch, plentiful portions fresh and homemade and reasonable prices considering the location. Friendly service. Good spot for a frills free lunch.
We chose to sit inside as it was cooler there. The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly with wine choices (of which there are many local ones). They were also very happy to recommend reasonably priced choices by the glass rather than upselling. The starter...portions were very generous- the bruscetta was 3 large slices with different toppings, and the assorted cheeses and jams filled the board. There were quite a few wild boar based recipes and the seared wild boar mortadella with lentils was delicious and filling. Most dishes were under 10 euros. We ended up buying a bottle of local Chianti to take home, which certainly didn't disappoint, again with helpful guidance without pressure. We'd definitely return!More
After a hiking trail in the surroundings of Certaldo, we came back to the upper town, and this was the first restaurant we came across. Remembering that this property had good ratings in social media, we approached it with confidence. We were seated in a...small table for two, which was still available outdoors. We ordered a first course (for me) and two main dishes: fettuccine with sausage, mushrooms and black truffle; wild boar mortadella with lentils; sausage with stewed beans. While I found that the mortadella was OK, the fettuccine and the sausage proved great. Then my wife, feeling that she was still hungry with only the main dish, also ordered a plate of cold cuts, also tasteful. The portions were generous, so we gave up on dessert. Very courteous service, and also fast. Excellent value for money: all the foods mentioned above, plus a liter of water, a quarter of good red house wine, two coffees: only 40 euros for two people.More
Excellent service very friendly and helpful staff, reasonably priced, delicious food and wine choice, highly recommended
Very friendly staff: made extra effort to find us a seat when raining outside. Service with a smile, and good food too. Try the Tuscan Degustation Menu for a tasty lunch: soup, bread and Tuscan meats, with water, wine and coffee for 15 euros. Recommended!!
We came too early to eat (at the evening restaurant is open from 7pm, as most of restaurants in Certaldo), but it was worth to wait. Simple, traditional food, warm atmosphere, great Brunello di Montalcino. They had even pencils for our child what helped to...attract him during visit. I recommend this restaurant for anyone who'd like to taste Toscany (not just Italian) food.More
