As residents we’ve been to Vaughan a few times. When first opened some years ago it was good but subsequent visits have been disappointing. Today was the end. The soup we ordered came scalding hot. After 10 minutes it was still too hot to eat....My husband poured water into his. What little I’d tasted convinced me that it was already thin and tasteless enough. Two separate requests for a soup bowl to decant it into to cool it down produced no service at all, then a takeaway cardboard tub, then a dinner plate. Ok, we all know that getting staff is hard but that’s no excuse for taking full payment for poor food and poor service. Oh, and dry cold toast is not ‘crusty bread’.More
We visited with our Labrador, Morse, and were pleased to be able to sit outside in a corner out of the wind. Inside was very busy, but service was good & our meals were generous sizes.
Excellent coffee. Tasty breakfast and good service. Friendly staff. Clean environment. There are sometimes queues there.
It has a good selection of pies, sausage rolls and sweets. You can dine in so long as you have been doubly vaccinated. It is reasonably priced with good service. I would recommend it if you visit Inverloch
Rang up & booked but they lost the booking and seemed surprised when we turned up. I realise it's hard getting staff at the moment but I feel we could have been told they weren't doing a full menu at the time of booking. We...went out of our way to go here based on the reviews and were told once we sat down that we had to choose whatever was available from the display cabinets. Coffee was quite nice though.More
I was going for a walk and kept seeing people with coffee, so I went on the hunt for somewhere open early (7 am) on a Sunday. Found this busy little place. I knew the coffee must be good because it's a hit with the...locals. I wasn't dissapointed.More
We were on our way through Inverloch when we saw Vaughan's Cafe. We stopped for a bite of lunch. Nice cafe and the service was good. The meal was very nice and the staff were attentive.
So we picked the number one food place in Inverloch, but we were very disappointed. My choice from the menu (beef cheeks) was not available, so I changed to eggs Benedict with ham, it looked okay but all l could taste was a barbecue flavor...from the toast that had been done on the griddle. The ham was very light on couldn’t taste it and the hollandaise sauce had very little flavor. My partner had smashed avocado with humuli cheese substituted for goats cheese which she doesn’t like. It looked okay but the avocado was on the turn and it also had the same strong bbq flavor to the bread. Not sure where to go next, if Vaughan’s is rated at number one!!More
Great high quality coffee as prepared, by José & Jane and the team. Awesome friendly vibe. and very attentive service. I am always in for the scrambled eggs on sour dough, bacon, mushrooms etal. Breakfast was YUM !!!! Very full-some..... Cakes are excellent, as are...the Vaughan's exclusive Hot Cross Buns which should be made available all year.. Bravo guys...definitely the "go to" for great coffee and food. My guess is that it will get tooooo popular now and I'll have to queue up for my coffee.More
Not sure why the amazing rating. Had a caprese salad and it was ok. My other guest had the carbonara and the salmon and it was alright. I went out of my way to go here because of the rating but I didn't feel that...it deserved it. The service was average. This place has so much potential. Keep it simple guys people just want fresh food at a reasonable price!More
Friendly staff, great coffees, excellent lunches too, outside area which is really nice, very popular and really good.
Food was alright but service soooo slow. Not particularly busy either. Had to ask for missing food on plate
We called in for lunch and have to say it was absolutely delicious! They had plenty of options for me as I need a Gluten Free diet, everything was fresh and appetising something that doesn’t always happen with GF. My husband is still raving about...his chicken burger. They had a great selection of deli items that I couldn’t resist purchasing to try at home. The staff were very welcoming and and attentive, this was our first visit but won’t be the last!More
We caught up with family for breakfast prior to the Saturday market. Interesting arrangement of foods that were very tasty. The kids loved the smashed avo with an egg. All meals were on the table fairly quickly even though the place was packed out. Really...enjoyed our food and the coffee was great tooMore
