Great service and the food was divine. We so enjoyed our meal. The chef takes great care in the taste texture and flavor of the food. The presentation of each plate brought to us was spectacular.

This was our first time visiting this unique restaurant and let me tell you, it was perfect in every way. It was my husband’s 58th birthday. Started with me forgetting to add another person to our group. But to them, that was not a problem...with smiles in their faces they handled it easily and perfectly. This restaurant is reservations only. I reserved for a group of four and forgot my daughter was bringing her boyfriend. They lead us to a waiting area and re-arranged the setting in a beautiful room that had a table set up for six. So the staff proceeded to change it to accommodate 5 instead of 4 in the table they had for 6. It looked and felt like a private room, beautifully decorated. A fully loaded bar (a nook) on one side, and a French Window on the other side. The room was super inviting and cozy. Loved the bar in it. The service was outstanding, friendly, well mannered, and readily available. Really can’t say enough about them, excellent service. The food was fabulously delicious!!! We ordered several appetizers to share, the Scottish Salmon, the Duck Mousse, and the Escargot. All 3 were delicious. The Duck Mousse was mouthwatering. My future son-in-law ordered the Filet Mignon for main course, it was cooked to perfection amazing flavor. The Seared Salmon, was excellent. The Cast Iron Seared pepper Steak was fabulous. The Chez Nous Soufles were sooo good! The food, service, and ambience of this place is amazing. It’s an impeccable, awesome place to visit. Treat yourself and go, it’s absolutely fabulous in every way. We found our to go place for special occasions.More
Chez Nous is an incredible restaurant - Fantastic Service, really tasty food, very cool atmosphere....and just a great overall experience. A hidden GEM for SURE.
The chef is the owner of this long-standing French restaurant. Her food and service were impeccable. The recommended French wines surpassed my expectations. The menu is extensive. We cannot wait to drive 25 miles up the highway to dine again at this fine place. (Special...thanks to the wine steward who dashed out to the parking lot to make certain we returned home with all our belongings.)More
Houston has devoured the countryside, paving over history with concrete and strip malls. In a quiet neighborhood of Humble Chez Nous is still quietly and gracefully offering superb food, beautiful ambience, excellent wines, and classic French style in the shadow of George Bush Airport and...the ever increasing highways surrounding the area. Based upon two visits the presentation, taste and quality of the food overseen by Executive Chef Stacy Simonson is consistently excellent across a surprising broad menu. Excellent choices are the house cured salmon, filet mignon, veal, and rack of lamb. The mashed potato sides shaped like little mountains are incredible delicious but would be enhanced by more heat before serving. The wine list has a good selection of both French, domestic, and world wines at remarkably reasonable prices. We enjoyed a 2011 Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Burgundy that was priced 30% below retail. The souffles (chocolate, passion fruit, vanilla) ordered at the beginning of the meal arrive piping hot and steaming from the oven, the vanilla cream poured into the souffles cool them down to a heavenly breath of egg and flavor so light and delicious, Given the restaurant food desert that characterizes the northeast Houston area Chez Nous is a breath of fresh air that has stayed that way for the past 40 years even as everything that was there before disappears.More
We have utilized the wonderful Chez Nous for 29 years for special occasions. We celebrated our 47th anniversary tonight and once again— they “hit it out the park”. From the time we entered the restaurant we were treated royally. The service was excellent and the...food was terrific. We can’t wait to return !More
This was a special occasion since it was my wife’s birthday and we were celebrating with a few family and close friends. Our group totaled 13 and we had a room reserved. The pre-organization with Alexis went very well and Paige and the staff provided...excellent service to match with great food, wine and champagne. I cannot speak highly enough about this restaurant. Thanks to Chez Nous for a memorable experience.More
Food is fabulous. Service is fabulous. Ambience is fabulous. The reason why this is one of the top restaurants in my experience is because of something I have yet to find in the USA. In Europe, when you go out for dinner - the table...is yours for the evening. No one is rushing you so they can turn the table. We went here with friends and after taking our drink order, we did not place our first course for an hour. The wait staff was gracious and not intrusive. We had a three hour dinner on Saturday night. Bravo Chez Nous. Thank you for allowing us to talk, enjoy and relax without feeling rushed.More
Tried several times to go to this fabulous restaurant. Decided to make a reservation and give them a try. From the minute that we walked in we noticed that this was quite an amazing place. The staff the decor and the ambiance was perfect. Had...a 7:00 reservation and was early but sat us down anyway. Had an extensive wine menu and drink menu. After I ordered a glass of wine they brought us the menu. The menu had a nice variety to choose from. Good is a little pricey but worth every penny. We started out with an appetizer. Mango Avocado Crab Tower and it was devine. Next we shared the New Zealand Rack of Lamb because it was quite large portion. It was delicious. Nice presentation at our table as well. For dessert had the Strawberry Key Lime pie. It too was yummy. All in all from the fine service by are wait staff and the delicious food it was a place that I plan to go back to again. You won’t be disappointed at all.More
Very good restaurant. The attentiveness and service by the waitstaff was impeccable. All the food was very good. Two minor dings: 1. It took awhile for the entrée to arrive. Maybe they were shorthanded in the kitchen. 2. Lighten up on the salt. My carrot...slices and my wife's spinach bed had way too much salt. We think half the amount would have still flavored properly. We asked for and had the most chocolaty, sweet dessert. Oh my word. It was absolutely decadent. You had to let the vanilla ice cream and the chocolate rest on the tongue and savor the dessert experience. This restaurant is a dining delight experience.More
We are thrilled to let everyone know that Chez Nous is open again for dine-in and it's every bit as good as ever. If possible it might even be better but that you can't improve on perfection. This continues to be one of the finest...restaurants in the city, certainly a candidate for top 10 in the state. The freshness of the ingredients combined with the chef's creativity and the fact that every single week the food is completely consistent and creatively brilliant makes this one of the finest restaurants around. Do yourself a favor, take someone special out for a very special night that you'll never forget.More
We gathered here for dinner to celebrate a birthday. The building itself is unassuming, in the middle of a residential area. The interior is very cozy and welcoming. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I opted for their mango avocado crab tower appetizer as...well as the 10oz tenderloin. Both were heavenly and their desserts were world class. They offer a seasonal menu as in addition to their year round menu. The menu items are pricey, but worth every penny. I can wholeheartedly recommend Chez Nous for an impeccable dining experience.More
Anyone living in Houston knows the vibrancy of the restaurant scene, and within all this goodness, Chez Nous is a crown jewel. We've been 4-5 times-per-year regulars since 2013, and it's mystifying how their food can remain top-notch meal after meal. The extensive offerings are...always a perfect balance of classic favorites and exciting new dishes to explore. Not only this, but their service is flawless and friendly, with many special touches to make you feel welcome. Last night we mixed favorite classics -- beef tartar, bacon-wrapped tournedos, raspberry-passionfruit souffle -- with seasonal specials of late-summer salad with smoked pumpkin vinaigrette, Madeira chicken with mushroom bread pudding and maple-pumpkin souffle with bourbon-spiked crème anglaise. Stunningly good! We've previously dined here with vegetarian friends, and they were thrilled with all of the delicious seafood options for entrees, not to mention the creative vegetable sides and salads. Absolute highest recommendation.More
I’m from New Orleans so I know French cuisine and learned to cook many dishes. Don’t mistake this for spicy,Cajun one pot cooking, which is not NO French cuisine. Chez Nous is as fine a restaurant as any in its class. The food is delicate...yet very well seasoned so the flavors compliment each other. The staff is professional and the presentation is excellent. My husband and I celebrate our birthdays and anniversaries here each year, with a few visits in between. What we really like is the French country atmosphere and quietness which is a rarity in Houston. 5 stars.More
I made a online Reservation at Chez Nous for today for 2, Sept 12 at 6:00pm. entered anniversary in the event box using OpenTable. Went there, When we arrived they did not ask if we were celebrating a event or say anything about our anniversary....We assumed they did not do anything for customers anniversary. We were very disappointed. As we were leaving Told them were disappointed, the waiter said there was no note on the reservation. Then he told us of every thing they do for anniversaries, then we felt cheated. GRRW I don't know if it was Open Table systems fault or the Restaurant's fault I intend to leave a lot of stuff about this on the internet, yelp, etc. Next time I will call and talk to a "human."More
