Really good food and great service- they really care and it shows. Local cuisine when in season, like crawfish are really good. Go in and try the chicken fried steak or the Pablo Burger. Really big and satisfying.

We had a family dinner, they had a food truck for some time before moving to this location. It has seating inside and out. They had music on Friday night. We all had different meals. The older kids had fish taco's and raved about them....I had catfish filet and red beans and rice, my wife had blackened tilapia. Everyone enjoyed their meals it was busy but not overcrowded the service was great we will be back.More
Our kids had heard good reviews so we decided to try it out for some birthday celebrations in our family. Moderately busy when we got there but were seated quickly. Waiter was friendly but new on the job. We ordered some appetizers first and then...ordered boiled crawfish (2 orders), chicken fried steak, shrimp tacos, and red beans and rice. Appetizers came after a bit and they were ok but not exceptional. The rest of the food came along in a bit except for the crawfish. Our waiter told us they were cooking a fresh batch then. We waited, and waited, and waited some more after seeing other orders of crawfish coming to tables around us. Our waiter apologized numerous times but said he was still waiting for ours to come. Finally, 55 minutes after we'd gotten there, our crawfish came. As crawfish are boiled 8 minutes maximum for easy shelling it seems our order must have gotten lost and the waiter wasn't being told the truth. The rest of our table had been finished with their meals for some time and we had to eat our crawfish while everyone else watched. Not the best experience by any means and the crawfish had no seasoning, just boiled too long as they were mushy. Won't go back, and indications are that the manager for this Saturday evening should be better trained in how to properly manage a busy restaurant, or fired. Either way, things will have to improve or this place is doomed as numerous diners had issues with their food either cool, not cooked properly, or incorrect orders.More
Recently went to Fish Tales with my husband and we both enjoyed the all-you-can-eat jumbo shrimp on Wednesday night. The shrimp were truly jumbo and fried just perfectly. It came with a choice of side from fries, onion rings, or cole slaw. You can have...one of the other "premium" sides with an upcharge. My husband chose the fries which were just average but I was very happy with my gigantic onion rings. The first round came with 12 shrimp and after eating that and the onion rings, I was already filling up but of course I could not stop there. I ordered a refill and another 8 shrimp came. I could barely finish it. My husband went for 2 additional rounds of 8 shrimp each! The wait between the rounds were short and the shrimp was freshly fried as they came out piping hot and crispy...we had to wait a bit before digging in because they were too hot to the touch! The only bummer was that we arrived a little too late to enjoy the happy hour which ended at 6:30 and offered cheap $1.50 domestics. The wait service was average, but the waitress could have been a bit more responsive as I saw her chit chatting with other wait staff and we had to catch her eye to get her attention, instead of her coming around to check on us. Overall we'd come back even on a non-Wednesday to check out their other platters.More
This little less restaurant is growing in popularity and rightfull so. The food is delicious, large portions and reasonably priced. The have a special children's menu. The shrimp tacos are the best.
Having eaten twice at the Fish Tales in Galveston, Tx, I expected a similar experience at the Humble location. I was very disappointed to find it was a very small dining room with a cafeteria/fast food type of ambiance. The waiter was friendly and tried...very hard to please us, but seemed inexperienced. It also seemed the restaurant was short-staffed, to the extent that the waiter made our desserts himself. I had the fried shrimp and onion rings, which were average. We had hoped for a special experience, as it was Mother's Day, especially at 'seafood prices'. Instead, we felt as if we had overpaid. We won't be returning to the Humble location, and will ask why there is such a huge difference the next time we eat at the location in Galveston.More
This was my second trip to eat at Fish Tales and it was better than I remembered. Everything is cooked to order. If you do not like fish there are other entrees, but fish is the main attraction: catfish, shrimp, crawfish, oysters, tilapia, salmon, chicken...and burgers. the onion rings are the biggest I have ever seen and they are made with sweet onions. Dinner and lunch served daily.More
This is a small restaurant that is filled with locals. And, that is good.(I'm a tourist.) It's a no frills, plain jane place but the food is the reason to go there. Had the fried shrimp plate and it was one of the best plates...of shrimp I ever had! I'm not into lobster or crab. They're okay. I like fish. But I love shrimp! My son and wife had some other seafood items and they enjoyed them. I only had shrimp and it was the best. Next time I visit I want some more of those shrimp!More
The restaurant was very clean bathrooms as well! The food was wonderful! I ordered the Shrimp Acapulco. We all shared Boudin balls and wings. My husband loved his grilled fish. They serve beer and wine as well and have live music on Friday nights! The...staff was very friendly! Can't wait for crawfish season to come around and try it there!! They have a nice outdoor patio an a indoor bar with TV.More
Chose this restaurant on the advise of a local businessman. It's a small no-frills family friendly type restaurant with nice friendly staff. Ordered a large fried catfish plate with french fries and hushpuppies (3 fillets). The catfish were fried perfectly with light breading. They had...a very light taste (not muddy) with a flaky consistency. The hushpuppies were also good; not greasy like at some restaurants. This one is definitely on my repeat list. http://www.fishtalesusa.com/More
