Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fabulous Sunday lunch at this lovely pub. Lunch was very fresh and tasty. Fantastic to see that they cater for gluten free diets really well as all of the trimmings were gluten free. Sadly didn’t have time for pudding as we’re passing through but highly...recommend this placeMore

Had the most amazing lunch today with family, the roast beef dinner was so tasty and a good selection of vegetables and cheesy cauliflower was amazing. We had the pudding which was to die for, lemon curd cheesecake and my daughter had the chocolate truffle...torte, the children enjoyed their lunch and the ice cream went down a treat, I would definitely be returning and would highly recommend a visit.More

I came here with my family during our holiday to Newtown. We had the warmest welcome from the owners and young lady who took our orders. All staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great visit. They were...extremely welcoming to our staffy and he had lots of fuss from them and was even given some chicken nuggets which he loved. Our food was absolutely beautiful, came out hot and very quickly but could also tell the food was very fresh and homemade. I think the prices are very reasonable considering how great the quality of the food was. Not a single complaint, we all had an absolutely fabulous evening and would definitely visit again and would recommend to absolutely anyone, especially if you’re looking for somewhere to eat/drink and bring your dog with you. Thank you to all staff.More

We visited today for Sunday lunch. 5 adults and two toddlers. Our group was seated promptly, drinks sorted immediately, and once settled we were directed to the carvery. The beef had been cooked to perfection, and the vegetables were as if cooked at home. This...was as good a carvery as we have ever had. The staff were friendly and attentive. The bill for food and drinks was great value. Would recommend this place without hesitation.More

We had the Sunday carvery at The Kerry Lamb today (25th September 2022). The food was excellent- we both had roast beef with a really good selection of vegetables. The staff were helpful, the place comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean. Can highly recommend.

We have just visited the Kerry Lamb for Sunday lunch carvery with friends which was very disappointing. Two of our party do not eat red meat so when booking we asked what alternatives were available and informed chicken was on offer. On arrival there was...just beef and pork on display but when asked the server said that she could provide chicken. The chicken breasts came out which was totally anaemic just only assumed to be frozen and microwaved. There was only meat gravy on display so our 2 non red meat eaters had their carvery with no gravy. The pudding was then cold in the middle. When mentioned £2 and £1.50 was discounted from the bill which was not really proportionate for 2 of our party just eating vegetables as the chicken was so tough it could not be eaten. We then had to go elsewhere afterwards for 2 of our party to have food. A very expensive lunch with very poor quality.More

I'm really sorry that your experience was so poor, I am grateful that you brought the chicken to our attention, I agree it was overcooked and dry and I have put in measures to rectify this. We weren't actually told on booking or in house...More

Recommended by the host of out local Airbnb (Bay Cottage - DO it!), we were warmly welcomed on a quiet and chilly Thursday evening. Ordered the 'local' beef burger, and although was 'advised' it would have to be "cooked through" rather than my preferred choice...of MR, It. Was.One.of.the. Best.Burgers I've had the pleasure of consuming! Decent 'pub' wines from £3.50 by the glass, big screen TV (should you need it). pool table and just lovely ambience. Thanks guys xMore

Having read other good reviews of the food at The Kerry Lamb we decided to give it a try. At the back it is a standard local pub, the front family restaurant was clean and bright. The food was clearly homemade and great. I had...the vegan curry, my husband had the chilli con carne, both with half and half chips and rice. The chips were some of the best I’ve ever had. The service was friendly and prompt. Definitely recommend for families holidaying in the area.More

I'm here in Kerry on holiday and have eaten the chilli con carne at the Kerry Lamb 3 times this week. I've been told that it's home made and it is absolutely sublime!!! Honestly couldn't get enough of it, so I'd like to thank the...person who made it - It's made my week! The staff are amazing, all have been exceptionally helpful and polite. A special thank you to the lady who offered us the strawberry ice-cream with our cheesecake this evening - she was extremely kind and helpful. Also, the middle-aged gentleman has done a fantastic job of making us feel welcome. Really do hope we get the pleasure of visiting again and would 100% recommend.More
