Flying Premium economy on Virgin Atlantic is brilliant, the food, drinks, service and entertainment are second to none. Highly recommended. Priority boarding, and a welcome drink are just the thing to start your holiday.

Baggage drop was quick, no long queues. Boarding was on time and we were greeted by friendly staff. Food was not outstanding but acceptable. The hostess’s and stewards were cheerful and friendly. The flight was smooth and on time. The aircraft was quite old but clean and appeared well maintained.
Such nice, accommodating people. And enough room in economy class. Only the food was less than a 10, but of course it was airline food.
Purchased premium economy 10 months in advance of flight due to the fact that I have long legs and do not fit in Economy. Sadly, Virgin downgraded me at the last minute and did not honor the Premium Economy that we purchased. Due to the fact, that I could not fit (legwise) in the seat, Virgin staff suggested that I take a flight on another day. We were not from New York, so this wouldn’t of worked well.
Anyway, Virgin staff offered me a bathroom seat at takeoff and a bar seat during the flight. Not a very safe way for a person who has exceptionally long legs to travel. Very sad comments made to me as a passenger who should have every right to travel as a short person.
The last time that I had a bathroom seat was on an Air Cameroon flight back in the mid 90’s. I thought airlines had stopped this practice by now.
I am writing this review in two parts. First I would like to praise and thank the ground staff of Virgin Atlantic at Heathrow & for other Virgin staff for all the help they gave my daughter and her husband on Friday 28th June as they tried to check in for there Honeymoon to Dominican Republic, unfortunately due to the lack of relevant information not given to them in there documents from TELETEXT HOLIDAYS they did not have an ESTA visa so they missed the flight. My second part to this is TELETEXT HOLIDAYS....When the holiday was booked, I spoke to an Indian gentleman. We then printed off all the relevant documents and there is a paragraph that reads "Some countries require a Visa (Turkey USA Dominican republic)NOWHERE IN THAT PARAGRAPH DOES IT SAY if you are landing in the USA to change flights you must obtain an ESTA Visa!!!!!!! Why hasn't this been added to there information, as a travel agent they should be giving you all the relevant and up to date information. My daughter was told they would try and get them a flight the next day, I was driving to work so I called them myself only to have a very rude woman put the phone down on me!!!!!!!!! Where is there Customer Service, how rude and unprofessional. Fortunately again thanks to Virgin staff they managed to get them on a Delta flight the same day, no thanks to TELETEXT. They have had to stay in a hotel over night so I think at least TELETEXT should cover there bill for that, I would NEVER EVER use TELETEXT HOLIDAYS AGAIN.
