My wife and I spent 4 nights here to get a flavor of Bluefields.
After a 3km taxi ride(1$) from the airport, we were checked in by a Spanish speaking lady and shown to our upstairs tiled Room # 18; a comfortable double with 2 nightstands, wardrobe, desk with stool, small table with chair, quiet AC, fan, good WIFI, small TV with several English stations, and fully outfitted bathroom. Room size would have been perfect without the extra single bed that we used for storage.
Our 7AM breakfast was outstanding, made to order with an English speaking cook; OJ, fruit bowl, eggs, toast, jam, gallo pinto, and cafe con leche.
Overlooking the suburban street, traffic is severally restricted by the 50 member Police hdqrs/prison to one side. The balcony vista of long water views also had children playing street ball and lots of locals making their way to/fro the market 2 blocks away. Location is good for the small museum down the street, 2 active ports, churches, grocery stores, Mini Hotel Restaurant, and our favorite Sorbeteria Nyah.
Noisy grackles, roosters, and dogs make for an early rise but overall this is a good value hotel.

Room tip: Room # 18 has private balcony overlooking street and bay.

So Our plans changed due to a flight over booking and we had to travel overland which left us with a problem due to time we'd arrive in bluefields and such late notice for trying to arrange.

Came across this places website and chanced a phone call.

We arrived at the hotel. Was meet and shown to our rooms by a lovely lady who was so friendly. We later found out it was her first day. ( we wouldn't have known as she was so professional and knowledgeable it seemed. ) any how. We were only there the one night due to a very early flight. We were giving an amazing room looking out over the water so sunrise was beautiful and the breeze blowing in at second story meant I could leave the dreaded air con off . ( so hate them )

Thanks Guys for a lovely stay. Keep up the good work

The hotel offers clean rooms and hot showers in a perfect location close to the port and just a few meters across the street of a police station. In the close neighbourhood there are nice places to eat (like Flotante and Galeria Aberdeen) as well as a cultural museum.
The owner of the hotel is an incredibly nice man who helped us a lot and made traveling a lot easier for us! We're still grateful for all the help he offered. My backpack went missing on a flight with Costeña. Not only did he call the airline to check for my luggage, he also drove me to the airport to pick it up!
We stayed a second night at Hotel Jackani and asked for panga tickets to El Rama. Upon arriving at the hotel, we already had our panga tickets and could leave right away the following morning.
So nice people and so helpful!!! We can only recommend this hotel to everybody traveling to Bluefields!

Stayed at this locally owned hotel while visiting Bluefields. The owners are very warm and friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. It's an easy walk to the cultural center and park, and there is a great seafront restaurant two kindness walk away. I was very happy I chose this place to stay. Recommend the waterfront rooms
