If you're into time trip to 80s, this is the place. For the price you pay, this is a very poor value for money. Stayed for 3 nights and during this time we got bed made and towels changed once after we asked the reception. The room was not very well cleaned when we arrived, there was a pair of womens used tights in the open wardrobe and plenty of long hair all over the bathroom. Shower shampoo was also empty. Just a generally wert poor show. Hangers are from the old owners (Scandic), just with some tape over to hide the branding. Please note that the spa is only open on mornings for a c. One hour and open again at 1pm. Also on Sundays the whole spa is closed all day.

Hotel itself is not very modern but the access to the spa via the hotel makes this place unique and a good bargain. Room was clean. Breakfast was good with typical Finnish dishes. Nice walking trail outside the door. Price was right. Enjoyed the spa, very modern with sauna, massage pools.

The hotel is located in the middle of the village. ATM and some shops are within a walking distance. However, there is a lot to improve in the hotel itself. The exterior is rather dull and the menu at the restaurant is really limited. Practically there was only buffet available, the only course at the ala carte was steak. The room was really worn out and not up to the modern standards. It was rather clean, though.

The spa was under repair, so I can't say anything about it (except that it was not available). I also wonder a little bit tha name of the hotel, which means "splashes of Kianto". The hotel is not on the shore of the lake or rapids, instead there is a pretty stationary and small body of water behind the hotel...

I would say that in the current condition the hotel is appropriate to no more than one night stay, if you are driving by.
