If your looking for a fun night playing pool with a great atmosphere, friendly staff & good food then the Northern is definitely the place to head down to.We had one of the best nights out I have had in a long time.
A colleague and I popped in for a game of pool and were very impressed by the friendly welcome, reasonable prices and great facilities. I would never normally have the nerve to go somewhere like this by myself, but it was a fabulous evening!
I have been going to the snooker centre for the last 30 years. Ideal for all ages, you can buy a yearly membership for under £10 or you can buy a daily pass for £1.00.
You can play snooker or pool and the centre also has competitions which you can enter. Open everyday from about 11am to Midnight.
Easy access for disabled people.
The Northern Snooker centre is a fantastic place to go as you can learn how to play like a professional snooker player or you can just choose to play on your own,
Sometimes there's pool tournaments which you can enter and you can find these on there website.
sometimes professional snooker players go and play there matches there on the match table inside the Northern Snooker Centre too.
I would recommend this place to anyone with kids and friends as the staff that work there are really friendly and kind.
Superb place for a game of pool with fantastic friendly staff and great food and drink . I had one of the best coffees ever tonight made by the beautiful Megan. We'll be back soon.
In conjunction with my role as a billiards and snooker referee, I have been visiting this venue on a regular basis for a long time now.
The multiple table layout in the playing halls is an excellent environment for cue sports, with pool tables upstairs and around two dozen full sized billiard tables at ground level, maintained to a very high standard. The club has hosted the World Billiards Championship, at which I have officiated, for around a decade up to now, and was also the original venue for the Paul Hunter Memorial Trophy.
But NSC is well worth visiting for its dining facilities also. The quality of the food and service has been consistently superb during all the time I have been going there, and tends to be above the average expectation of catering in snooker clubs up and down the country The menu selection available is also usually quite comprehensive, and portions are very generous. Additionally, a wide variety of beers and other refreshments is offered over the bar.
