Went based on TA reviews and from the Alexandrian via Uber it was under $10 and/or 5 miles.
Atmosphere was good and right away "hidden gem" was applicable.
From the Cocktails to my stuffed haddock to dessert 'that we replaced with an order of fried oysters' it was excellent. I overindulge in food. Again, couldn't sleep well because I made a pig of myself.
Yeah....that good.
In Alexandria and craving something good? Go to RTs. You will love it.
Going to check out the bread pudding next time.

We decided to visit after a day of visiting Mt. Vernon. From our appetizers to the desert, our meal was delicious. Friends had recommended we swing by during our trip and that we would not be disappointed and that was an understatement. The She-Crab soup was spot on. Bacon-wrapped scallops were of good size and not overcooked. Pecan Haddock was crunchy and flaky and the Shrimp Norman had all the flavor of the south. I'd highly recommend you stop by here for some delicious southern style sea food.

We had 32 folks including 6 kids from 6 to 6 months. Wonderful evening with great food and drink.

They worked to modify their standard group menu to my desires. Have been eating there for decades always a great meal.

Everything came out on time freshly cooked while we had a room to ourselves giving everyone a chance to move around and enjoy the food and friendship.

After reading the reviews we took the family here and weren’t disappointed. Six of us each got something different so we could sample everything and it was all good. For me, the crawfish red beans and rice was the best.

Looking for a good place to have dinner in the Alexandria/Washington DC area. What a find! One of us had a soup that was gluten-free and I had a chopped salad for starters. For the main course my gluten free son (they had a whole gluten free menu with lots of offerings) had fried catfish. I had the best seafood and andouille sausage gumbo I have had in years!!! My husband ordered the halibut special with crab meat on top. Great service and cosy environment. Also loved their pecan pie!!
